Chapter 94 Don’t Test Me Jackson
“Alright.”
As Natalie stood, her legs suddenly went weak.
Her steps faltered, her body swaying for a split second.

Atlas reacted instantly, his hand steadying her arm, his voice tight with concern. “Are you okay?”
“I’m fine…”
Natalie quickly pulled her arm free and hurried toward the restroom.
She stood at the sink, bracing both hands against the edge, her gaze fixed on the basin.
Her shoulders trembled ever so slightly, the sharp sting of her emotions impossible to contain.
Water gushed steadily from the faucet, splashing noisily into the sink.
A single tear slipped free, hot and heavy, then fell into the running water and disappeared down the drain.
She didn’t know all the details about how Cindy had ended up in prison.
All she knew was that Cindy’s husband had been cheating; and Cindy…
Well, the situation had been ugly.
Still, Natalie had always believed Cindy was, deep down, a good person–kind, even; just a woman with terrible luck who’d married a gambling, womanizing man.
Before the Preston family fell from grace, Cindy had been a pampered heiress.
Then she’d fallen for the wrong man; one mistake after another had dragged her down a path she could never turn back from.
“Where’s Natalie?”
The deep, commanding voice carried easily through the clinic lobby.
It wasn’t loud, but even inside the restroom, Natalie heard it.

“Natalie’s in the restroom. If you need something, wait for her in the lounge,” Atlas replied, his tone clipped with irritation.
Natalie reached for the door but paused when she heard the heavy footsteps–him heading toward the lounge.
She quickly wiped the tears from her cheeks; her eyes turned cold, sharp.
Once her emotions were firmly under control, she opened the door and stepped out.
Atlas pointed toward the lounge. “Natalie, he’s here.”
Natalie gave a small, knowing nod.
Neither of them spoke a name, but both knew exactly who they were talking about.
She entered the lounge to find Jackson lounging on the sofa, long legs crossed, one arm draped over the backrest; his presence was heavy, the air around him dark and oppressive.
When he saw her, his sharp, magnetic gaze lifted, eyes as cold as ice.
“What are you doing here?”
Closing the door behind her, Natalie walked across the room and sat directly opposite him.
“What do you think? I’m here to get some answers.” Jackson’s brows drew together, his voice edged with barely concealed anger. “From that day at the old house until now, you haven’t
you think you owe me one?” given me a single explanation. Don’t
Natalie let out a cold, mirthless laugh.
She had thought this was over, but apparently, this stubborn bastard still refused to let it go.
“I told you already. She was the one who mouthed off first; that’s why I hit her.” Her tone was sharp, her words unflinching. “I didn’t even bother digging deeper, but I know she was involved in setting up that scheme against my clinic. She had a hand in it, no doubt about it.”
“You’re really not going to let this go, are you?”
His hands curled into fists, his expression darkening, tension rolling off him in waves.
Natalie’s smile was sharp, almost mocking. “You’re one to talk. Weren’t you the one refusing to let it go? I didn’t even plan on touching her. She tried to ruin me, and I still didn’t retaliate; but
