Yulia didn’t fight back. She simply stared at Suzanne, eyes brimming with tears, looking fragile and pitiful.
Trent, who had been watching silently, could no longer hold back. He shoved Suzanne aside and rushed to Yulia’s side, gently helping her up.
Seeing her swollen, tear–streaked face, his heart felt like it was being shredded by thousands of blades.
“Yulia, are you okay? Does it hurt? I should’ve protected you….” he murmured, full of guilt and tenderness.
That one word-“Yulia“-pushed Suzanne over the edge.
Everything she had done for Trent over the years felt like feeding scraps to a dog.
She had supported his business, taken care of their home, and even gone as far as helping smear Estella’s reputation–all to save his hotel.
And this was how he repaid her.
Furious, she launched herself at Trent and Yulia like a woman possessed, fists flying as she shrieked, “You disgusting, cheating pigs!”
But Trent showed no pity. He shoved her away forcefully and roared, “Are you out of your mind? This has nothing to do with Yulia. I’m the one who pursued her–I forced her into this!
Being with you has been miserable. You never cared about me, and you constantly accused and nagged like a lunatic. I’ve had enough of you!”
Suzanne’s whole body trembled, her lips going pale. She pointed at Trent, hand shaking, and screamed, “Unbelievable! Trent, how could you treat me like this after all I’ve done for you? You heartless bastard!”
As the shouting escalated, there was a sudden thud. Yulia’s wallet had fallen to the floor–and with it, a photo slipped out.
Suzanne’s eyes landed on the picture.
Her pupils shrank as if she’d seen a ghost. In a flash, she dashed over and snatched up the photo.
Her world turned to ash.

It was a photo of Trent and Yulia with a little boy–no more than seven or eight years old.
The child had Trent’s eyes, Trent’s jawline.
Suzanne’s heart felt like it had been smashed by a hammer. She could hardly breathe.
So it was true.
Trent had been cheating on her with Yulia for years.
And they’d even had a son together.
She felt something inside her snap.
Suzanne started laughing–a hollow, desperate sound.
Staring at Trent with wild eyes, she screamed, “You scum! If I can’t live a good life, then you won’t either! I’ll expose everything–your hotel’s disgusting hygiene, the hidden cameras you’ve used to spy on female guests. I’ll ruin you!”
Then she turned to Estella, grinding her teeth. “Framing you? That was Trent’s idea! His hotel was in trouble and needed a ton of money. Some woman said that if we helped smear you as some rich man’s mistress, she’d give us a pile of cash and help him get funding!
I was stupid–stupid enough to agree to such a disgusting, thankless task. God, I was so damn stupid! Ha! Hahaha!”
Her laughter spiraled into madness.
Jonathan frowned, turning his gaze to the increasingly panicked Trent.
“That woman… it was Wendy, wasn’t it?”
Trent hadn’t expected Jonathan to guess so quickly.
But with everything out in the open, there was no point hiding it.
“Yes… Yes, it was Ms. Wendy. She promised me a huge sum if we helped her. She said she’d finance the hotel. I’m sorry, Ms. Estella, Mr. Jonathan–I wasn’t thinking. I never imagined it would hurt you both like this…”
Jonathan turned to Estella. “Let the police and the law handle it.”
Estella ended the recording on her phone and nodded. “Alright.”
Jonathan added, “I’ll take care of the others who smeared your name. Don’t waste your energy on them.”
