Chapter 132 No More Silence
From inside the locked practice room, Estella heard a voice outside.
Finished
She jumped up and began pounding on the door again, her voice raw. “Is someone there? Please help me!”
Jonathan froze, then leaned in close. “It’s me, Estella–it’s Jonathan!”
The moment she heard his voice, the pressure in her chest released. Her nose tingled with the rush of emotion.
“Jonathan, help me! Someone locked me in here on purpose!”
“I’m here,” he said gently. “Don’t worry. I’m getting help.”
Estella did her best to stay calm as she waited. Moments later, she heard someone unlocking the door.
When it finally swung open and the light poured in, Jonathan’s face was the first thing she saw.
Unable to hold it in any longer, she rushed forward and threw her arms around him, burying her tears in
his chest.
His shirt grew damp with her sobs, but he didn’t move.
He held her.
He knew she was terrified–trapped in the dark, alone, likely reliving every fear she tried to hide.
He should’ve found her sooner.
This was his fault.
“Thank you,” she choked out.
Jonathan gently patted her back. “It’s okay now. I’m here. You’re safe.”
As she calmed, she slowly stepped back. Jonathan handed her the phone he’d found.
“You’ve got a few missed calls. See if any are important.”
She turned it on. Besides all the missed calls from Jonathan, there were some from Donna.
She quickly dialed back.
“Estella! Thank God! I was so scared something happened to you,” Donna gasped in relief.
Then, her tone turned bitter. “You won’t believe it–Elenor’s in the room next to mine. Can you believe the luck? And now she’s saying she’ll make sure you’re forced out of the competition, just like me. Be careful. Don’t let her trap you.”
As Estella hung up, her hands tightened around the phone.

Finished
Jonathan, having heard most of it, looked at her seriously. “Someone tried to set you up, didn’t they?”
She nodded, a bitter smile on her lips. “One of my roommates. With her around, I don’t think I’ll last much longer.”
Jonathan’s brows furrowed. “She locked you in?”
She nodded again.
“That’s enough. Keeping quiet won’t solve anything. Tell me who it is–I’ll take care of it.”
Estella hesitated. “But… this is a TV station. The people here are all tangled up with each other…”
She didn’t want to drag him into it.
But Jonathan didn’t back down. “Trust me. I can handle this. I won’t let anyone hurt you.”
So she told him–everything about Elenor.
Jonathan’s face darkened. “So she’s got a little director on her side and thinks she can do whatever she wants? Let’s see how long that lasts.”
Just then, Estella received a message from the program coordinator. There was a cast–and–crew dinner that night.
She wasn’t planning to go–after the day she’d had, the last thing she needed was more drama.
But Jonathan said, “Go. I’ll come with you.”
Estella blinked. “You sure?”
He gave her a slight smile. “She tried to humiliate you. Let me return the favor.”
By the time they arrived, most people were already eating and drinking.
Elenor, hand wrapped in gauze, was seated beside a bloated, balding Mr. Lewis. His arm was draped over her shoulders as he whispered into her ear. She giggled and leaned closer.
Everyone at the table knew exactly what was going on. No one said a word.
The moment Estella walked in, she was ushered to their table.
Elenor’s eyes gleamed with contempt. “Wow, Estella. You’ve got some nerve showing up.”
She turned to Mr. Lewis and pouted. “Didn’t you say you’d handle it for me?”
Mr. Lewis, though admittedly attracted to Estella, had already given up on her after she ignored his earlier
