Chapter 63 What She Likes Was Never Asked
Nathaniel walked out of the clinic in a daze.

Whitney asked, “Mr. Nathaniel, Ms. Isabelle called over ten times just now. Are you really not going to see her?”
Nathaniel checked his phone-over a dozen missed calls from Isabelle.
Irritated, he blocked her number right then and there.
Whitney stared in shock. “Mr. Nathaniel…”
Nathaniel said coldly, “If Isabelle comes to Hartwell Group again, just tell her I’m busy and can’t see her.”
Whitney’s phone was still connected to Isabelle on the line.
She had heard everything Nathaniel said.
Furious, she threw her phone to the ground, face contorted with rage.
“I won’t lose.”
After returning home, Estella called her agent. “Has anyone shown interest in the villa under my name?”
If she could sell it, she’d have a significant amount of capital. That would cover the startup funding.
The agent hesitated. “No one has shown interest yet. Ms. Estella, please give it some more time.”
Estella hung up, a little disappointed.
She opened her laptop and searched for every real estate agency in Javerton. Then she started calling them one by one to say she was selling her villa.
Just as she finished her last call, the doorbell rang.
She opened the door to find Jonathan standing there.
“I’m thinking of eating out,” he said. “Want to come?”

Both of them were still recovering from injuries-it made sense to dine out.
Estella nodded. “Sure. Come in while I change clothes.”
Jonathan was a frequent guest. He walked in like it was second nature, opened the entryway cabinet, and changed into a pair of men’s slippers.
Ever since they’d started seeing each other more often, both of them had prepared a pair of slippers for the other at home.
He sat on the couch and happened to glance at the computer screen.
When Estella came out, changed and ready, he casually asked, “You’re checking out real estate listings-thinking of moving?”
Estella didn’t hide anything. “Not moving. I’m planning to start an arts center with my senior. We don’t have enough funds, so I want to sell the villa under my name. I’m also looking to rent a nearby space for the business.”
Jonathan smiled. “Don’t worry. It’ll all work out.”
Estella gave a soft hum. “Thanks for the good luck.”
They had barbecue nearby.
On the walk home, Estella felt a warmth radiating through her chest and cheeks, as if her whole face had been lightly brushed with a rosy tint.
Jonathan’s gaze lingered briefly on her soft pink lips, then quickly shifted away.
After they got home, Jonathan called Jeremy.
Hearing the request, Jeremy teased, “I’ve been in Javerton for work and you haven’t treated me once. All you do is order me around. No wonder people say it’s good to be the youngest-big brother handles everything.”
Jonathan raised an eyebrow. “So you’re not helping?”
Jeremy finished signing the last file on his desk and picked up a photo frame. His wife’s smiling face looked back at him. His eyes softened.
“Of course I’ll help. Mom and your sister-in-law keep nagging me to help you find a wife. How could I say no? But,” he paused, “why are you going about this whole ‘win her back’ thing so slow? You’re doing all this for her behind the scenes and not saying a word. How’s she supposed
to know?”
When he’d chased after his wife, he’d wanted the whole world to know.

Jonathan, on the other hand, was doing the exact opposite.

“That’s none of your business,” Jonathan said blandly. “She’s not like your wife. If I make a big scene, it’ll only stress her out.”
