Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 160

“The reason I wanted to talk to you is because I heard you two have been having some issues lately,” Zephyr said gently. “I thought maybe I could help smooth things over. I’m sure he realizes he was wrong this time—he’s probably trying to apologize in his own way, isn’t he?”

Zinnia understood why Zephyr thought that way. After all, he had no idea she and Landon were already living apart—and heading for divorce. For people of his generation, nothing is more important than seeing younger couples happy and united.

Besides, she could tell Zephyr genuinely admired Landon. When he first introduced Landon to her, his eyes had sparkled with excitement. Landon might not have made the best husband, but in other respects, he was remarkable. Zephyr had really hoped to find her the perfect match.

“I understand,” Zinnia replied, nodding without further explanation.

When she first received those investigation results, she’d been shocked—why would Landon help her? But after a moment’s reflection, it all made sense. Just as he’d said yesterday, he didn’t want her actions to damage Ford Group’s reputation or influence the stock price. She understood perfectly well, but she didn’t want to dismiss Zephyr’s good intentions.

Just then, Zephyr’s secretary pushed open the door and whispered, “Dean, the Jensen family is here.”

“Let’s go,” Zephyr said to Zinnia.

Inside the hospital’s family reception room, Mr. and Mrs. Jensen and their daughter Noelle were already waiting.

When Zinnia and the others walked in, Juniper stood up from the couch to greet them.

“Zephyr, I heard you’ve figured out the cause of my son’s accident?”
