Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 312

As soon as Zinnia finished speaking, a loud thud echoed from the other end of the line.

Almost immediately, the screech of a chair being shoved back mingled with Landon’s anxious voice over the phone.

“Zinnia, don’t listen to Noelle’s lies.”

Zinnia glanced at Noelle, whose face had gone completely white. With a faint, mocking chuckle, she replied, “Oh, lies, right? Then why did she say you were so furious over my so-called affair that you took it out on her family’s business? She claims her family went bankrupt because of me. How does that make sense?”

Her tone was languid, almost as if she were a spectator enjoying the drama rather than someone at its center.

On the other end, Landon suddenly fell silent.

They were outdoors, but as Landon’s silence stretched, the small crowd that had gathered around Zinnia—eager for gossip—instinctively held their breath.

The whole atmosphere grew oppressively tense.

Noelle looked terrified, her lips drained of color, stumbling as if her legs might give out beneath her at any moment.

She stared at Zinnia in disbelief, clearly having never expected her to confront Landon so directly or drag such an ugly mess into the open like this, right in front of everyone.

Didn’t she care about her own reputation at all? How could she be so shameless?

Noelle’s heart pounded with anger and panic, but above all, she was gripped by the terror of having her lies exposed for all to see.

As she trembled, searching for a way to salvage the disaster, Landon’s voice came through the phone again.

Gone was the cautious tone from earlier. Now, his words were cold enough to send a chill through everyone listening.

“Noelle is with you?”

Zinnia answered with a simple, “Yeah.”

“Put me on speaker, Zinnia.”
