Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 363

In front of the floor-to-ceiling windows, sprawled across a spacious leather sofa, sat a middle-aged man. A few silvery strands threaded through his meticulously combed hair, and the cigar between his fingers burned steadily, inch by inch, toward its end.

His subordinate stood before him in respectful silence. Seeing that the man remained quiet, the subordinate hesitated, then spoke in a low voice, “Sir, we don’t have the luxury of waiting forever for Yuri to make his move.”

At last, the middle-aged man stirred. He stubbed out his cigar in the ashtray and asked, “So, what do you suggest?”

The subordinate leaned forward slightly, his eyes sharpening as he replied, “Perhaps... we could do something to give Yuri a little reminder?”

He put special emphasis on the word “reminder,” a hint of menace flickering in his gaze.

But the man understood exactly what he meant. He narrowed his eyes and, after a moment, said, “Yuri will be furious if he finds out.”

The subordinate’s brow furrowed as he recalled the warning tone in Yuri’s last phone call. He fell silent, uncertain.

Before he could come up with another solution, the man continued, “We’ll do it your way. We can’t just keep waiting for him forever. But—don’t go overboard.”

A glint appeared in the subordinate’s eyes. “Understood, sir. I’ll take care of it right away.”

The next day, the weather was perfect. The snow that had blanketed the streets was now cleared away, thanks to the city workers.

“Sorry to trouble you again, Prof. Quinn,” Yuri said as he climbed into the car. He wore a simple, casual outfit, his hair neatly styled, looking effortlessly charming.

“Oh, please. The more the merrier on a road trip,” Elijah replied, starting the engine as everyone piled in, laughter and light conversation filling the car as they set off for the airport.
