Time-Limited Love: A Contract Expired, Not Renewed novel Chapter 364

When the ambulance arrived, the paramedics wasted no time loading all four of them onto stretchers and into the back.

Of the group, only Yuri remained conscious.

He stood frozen on the curb, unmoving, his gaze locked on the wreckage of their mangled car. His eyes were heavy with thought.

The driver of the other vehicle had already been taken away by a different ambulance, leaving behind nothing but chaos and shattered glass at the scene.

“Sir, you need to come with us to the hospital so we can run a full checkup—just to make sure you don’t have any internal injuries,” one of the paramedics urged as Yuri lingered by the roadside.

Yuri nodded silently, then climbed into the ambulance after them.

...

Veridian University Medical Center.

Zinnia came to with a searing pain in her neck, as if someone had tried to snap it in two. Her mind was still foggy; she could only stare, dazed, at the sterile white ceiling overhead.

“Zinnia, you’re awake.”

A familiar male voice sounded at her ear.

She tried to turn her head, but the slightest movement sent a bolt of pain shooting down her neck, forcing her to clench her brows in agony.

“Don’t move—you’ve injured your cervical spine.”

Landon rushed to her side, stopping her before she could do any more damage. “If you need anything, just tell me. Let me help.”

Zinnia stared at him for a long moment, her eyes hazy with confusion.

She opened her mouth, struggling to form words.

Landon leaned closer, bringing his ear to her lips. “What is it? What do you want to say?”

“I...what happened to me?”

Landon stiffened almost imperceptibly, then answered softly, “There was a car accident—on your way to the airport. You’re in the hospital now.”
