Too Good for You: The Ex-Wife You Lost novel Chapter 51

"Who would have known that Noelle's actually good at applying makeup?"

Jenna was stunned. If Noelle hadn't been using her products, she would have been convinced that Noelle was using high-end luxury products.

Not only did she get her makeup done quickly, but she also gave off a more elegant air once she was done. Her look was more suited for that of a racer than what Tina and her team had done for the rest of them. Noelle's makeup gave her a sharp and resolute look, making her look sleek and cool.

Noelle did a quick and simple job of her makeup, and her hair was casually styled. She tousled her curls a couple of times, making them look more voluminous, and her entire presence shifted. She now carried an effortless, laid-back edge.

"You look great! You're amazing, Noelle!" Jenna exclaimed.

Noelle packed up the products and handed them back to her. "Thanks for letting me use them. Filming's about to commence. We should head over to the shoot."

Now, she wouldn't be blamed for holding everyone up or causing overtime for the crew.

Just then, Tina spoke up, her tone laced with mockery. "Say, Ms. Quinn, isn't your base a little too heavy? That makeup looks pretty over the top."

Noelle shot her a cold glance. "Tina, is this your first time doing makeup for a shoot? Makeup usually appears washed out on camera. Besides, if the base isn't solid, it'll break down fast on a hot day like today. And once it turns patchy, it'll ruin the shoot and waste even more time."

At that, Tina scoffed. "I've never seen makeup that doesn't melt on a sweltering summer day like this."

It was only normal that makeup melted on summer days. And given that they were under the scrutiny of such high-precision cameras, the best that a makeup artist—even one of her level—could do was to keep touching up. She couldn't prevent it from breaking down entirely.

She was curious to see how long Noelle's makeup would last before it did.

The Flame Speed Racing team gathered outside, and filming resumed.

Elijah wasn't aware of what happened in the makeup room, but he let things slide because the shoot was only delayed for ten minutes.

Most of the racers looked tense on camera, but the moment they touched their cars, their energy shifted.

The plan was to shoot them racing in the mountains as their cars zoomed past one after another. Missing even one racer would make the sequence look broken. They even used drones to capture their side profile and cockpit angles.

There were also night shots lined up.

After the action shots, it was time to film them removing their helmets. They'd already reshot this scene multiple times.
