Derek, who was vacationing in Norway, suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of emptiness.

Tears flowed freely as he desperately hoped this was all just a nightmare, that he’d wake up and Kate would still be by his side.

On screen, Kate came home the first day with bags and packages, but left empty–handed.

The second day, Kate took a pile of papers and burned them under the tree for a full half hour.

The third day… Derek gritted his teeth and asked, “Where’s the third day’s footage? Why is it gone?”

The security guard stammered nervously. “The third day’s surveillance seems to have been deliberately destroyed. We’ve tried everything but can’t recover the data…”

Derek collapsed to the floor in defeat.

It was Kate – she’d intentionally destroyed the surveillance before leaving because she didn’t want him to find her.
