When Your Cheating Husband's Dream Become Your Divorce Evidence novel Chapter 26

Chapter 3

The next day, all equipment in Operations Department Two was replaced.

I had Summer’s old hard drive and got a specialist to recover all the data.

Her computer had an AI assistant client program installed.

Sure enough, she was the Al assistant-Preston’s “virtual girlfriend.”

My suspicions from the sleepless night were confirmed, and my hands started shaking.

Using company resources, even getting all those employees to lie-all for their love affair?

With trembling fingers, I opened the chat logs and discovered that what I’d seen on Preston’s end was the edited version.

In Summer’s records, Preston was incredibly attentive.

To openly buy her bubble tea, he treated the entire fifty-person department.

To keep her happy at work, he lowered the whole department’s performance requirements.

He’d even ask what color stockings she was wearing, what style underwear.

They had a meeting spot they called their “love nest.”

Just last week, they’d planned to meet at the love nest, and Summer asked if she should get plan B.

Preston’s response was no need.

[Our baby would definitely be healthier than Sophia Sullivan’s.]

Reading that line, I stared at the screen like I’d been struck by lightning.

Last year, I’d been pregnant with his child.

After a client dinner, he drove home drunk and had me open the garage door, but crashed into me instead, causing me to lose the baby.

When he sobered up, he knelt on the ground sobbing, saying he’d pray daily for our child in heaven.

For our future, I forgave him.

But now, the man who killed our baby was telling another woman that my children weren’t healthy.

My whole body shook with rage, my grip on the mouse nearly crushing it.

Before I knew it, it was dark outside.

In thirty years of life, I’d never been this close to a complete breakdown.

After collecting all the evidence, I rushed to the office to find Preston, who claimed to be working late.

Reaching the VIP section of the underground garage, I saw Preston’s car lights flash a few times.

Then Preston and Summer emerged from separate elevator entrances.

I instinctively hid in the shadows.

The moment they saw each other, they didn’t even make it to the car-just embraced and kissed passionately, like lovers who’d been suppressed for too long.

After the kiss, Preston tenderly stroked Summer’s face.

“Wait for me. Once 1 get the chairman position tomorrow, I’ll find a way to make Sophia Sullivan disappear. We’ll be together forever.”
