Chapter 109
Narissa just thought Cressida was nuts.
She thought, ‘When have I ever shown any sign that I like Bastien?
‘Honestly, if anyone was out of their league, it was Bastien trying to reach up to me. I am an agent from the Military Intelligence Office!‘
“Step aside, I need to go change,” Narissa said, not bothered in the slightest. In fact, she looked like she was in a pretty good mood.
Cressida was left with all sorts of mixed feelings.
She’d come here to test Narissa, so she wondered why Narissa wasn’t affected at all and was even happy.
‘Did she already set her sights on someone new?‘ Cressida wondered.
Thinking that, Cressida couldn’t help but grumble, “Narissa, you’re way too fickle.
“How can you have a crush on everyone you meet? Do you really take relationships that lightly?”
Narissa looked utterly confused.
‘What did I even do to make Cressida get the wrong idea?‘ she wondered.
As Cressida wheeled herself away, she said, “Why did I even bother worrying about you?
“You really are heartless, you know that? Men are just a distraction for you. You don’t actually love any of them, do you?”
Hearing that, Narissa couldn’t help but pause and really think it over.
She felt that Cressida actually had a point.
To her, every guy she set her sights on was just a little spice to keep her missions interesting.
If she went a day without toying with one, she’d honestly feel kind of restless.
However, she didn’t love any of them.
“Not saying anything? That means you admit it. Narissa, you really are such a player!” Cressida said.
“Thanks for the flattery, sis. Honestly, I kind of like being called a player.” Narissa had already changed into her clothes.
“But my life has nothing to do with you, so do yourself a favor and stop meddling in my business!” she added.
Cressida had been waiting for Narissa to embarrass herself, but to her surprise, Narissa wasn’t fazed at all.
She owned it with zero shame and even fired right back at Cressida without missing a beat.
Left fuming and out of options, Cressida could only storm out of Narissa’s room in a huff.
Narissa let out a soft snort.
She wondered, ‘Does Cressida really care if I get hurt over love, or is she just looking for an excuse to chew me out?”

Chapter 109
They were twins, but it felt like their brains were on completely different wavelengths.
She was just speechless.
But Narissa only puzzled over it for a moment before shrugging it off and deciding to stop thinking about it.
She hopped into her sports car and headed to the training class. As soon as she walked in, she saw all the girls huddled together, gossiping.
The people they were gossiping about were Bastien and Narissa.

Narissa never would’ve expect that the cold and boring Bastien, who had zero sense of fun, actually had quite the fan club.
So many girls were heartbroken over him, crying their eyes out.
From the way they gossiped, Narissa could pick up on all sorts of envy, jealousy, and even a bit of hate.
Miranda sobbed, “Cressida, tell me, how did Bastien get stolen away by some vixen?
“And the worst part is, they blurred her face. I can’t even see what she looks like. This is so annoying!”
Miranda was clinging to Cressida, bawling her eyes out as she wiped away her tears.
Out of everyone there, she was definitely the one crying the hardest.
She looked just like a wronged little wife who’d caught her man cheating–completely pitiful and aggrieved.
Narissa found the whole scene pretty entertaining, so she couldn’t help but sneak a few extra glances.
Besides Miranda, a few other girls who were from wealthy families were also hopeless admirers of Bastien.
At the moment, they looked totally out of it, like life had been sucked right out of them.
With their eyes swollen up like walnuts, it was obvious they’d been bawling their eyes out since this morning.
