Bastien heard all the chatter around him.

They were even speculating that Fox had been stealing things just to get his attention.

None of it could shake Bastien’s rock–solid heart.

But even Bastien couldn’t help but freeze for a split second.

That split second was all Narissa needed.

“You…” It wasn’t until the kiss was over that Bastien snapped back to his senses.

But in that brief window while his guard was down, Narissa suddenly drove her knee right into his vulnerable spot.

Bastien said, “You!”

Narissa made a face at Bastien, whose expression had darkened, then nimbly vaulted over the wall and made her escape.

By the time everyone else snapped out of it, Fox was already nowhere to be seen.

One of the bold guys in the crowd slapped himself hard. “That really hurt! So I wasn’t dreaming. This actually happened.”

“Mr. Harlow isn’t pure anymore. He just got teased by a woman, and she even dissed him right after!”

As soon as he blurted that out, a bunch of hands shot out to cover his mouth.

“Can you just say something like that out loud? someone hissed.

If Bastien heard this, they felt that they were all dead meat.

But Bastien’s hearing was way too good. He caught every single word, whether he was supposed to or not.

He clipped the handcuff to his belt and took off after her.

Cressida had to get around in a wheelchair.

“The whole internet’s blowing up about Bastien losing his first kiss,” Cressida said, stressing every word.

She thought, ‘So it was his first kiss too?

‘Well, when you put it that way, I guess I didn’t really lose out.‘

When Cressida saw how unfazed Narissa was, she instantly felt annoyed. “You’re this calm? Do you even know who everyone means when they talk about Bastien?
