Leland said, clearly itching to give it a try, “If we don’t use skin masks, this makeup technique would make it way easier to move around.
“We could transform into someone else in minutes and shake off any pursuers.”
Narissa said, “There’s still a difference. One is for quick, on–the–spot changes, while the other is more long–lasting.”
Skin masks were better for long–term missions, but this kind of makeup was perfect for one–off jobs. Once it was done, the agent could walk away clean.
“Narissa, how did you pull that off? Makeup alone can’t possibly change someone’s entire face, can it?” one of the students asked.
Narissa picked up a makeup brush. “That’s just your rigid way of thinking. Come over here.”
She had Skye and the other three sit in a row, then gave each of them a complete makeover right in front of everyone.
When all four of them looked in the mirror after their transformations, they couldn’t contain their excitement.
Skye exclaimed as she was completely mesmerized by her new face, “Oh my god, is this really me? It’s an elf look. I can’t believe I can be this pretty!
“It’s like a cartoon character just came to life in the real world. That’s totally unfair!”
Cedric was just as excited, unable to pull his gaze away from the mirror. “I can’t believe my baby face turned into this tough, mature, and charismatic older guy look.
“This is the face I’ve always dreamed of having!”
As for Leland and Nigel, they looked nothing like themselves anymore. They had been completely transformed into totally different people.
If it was just one person, maybe it could be chalked up to luck, but with so many people getting a total makeover from makeup alone, that was some next–level skill.
Alina said, clearly unconvinced, “What’s the big deal?
“No matter how amazing your makeup skills are, you still have to fool the facial recognition system for it to really count.”
The instructor, looking a bit awkward, added, “That’s right. One of the main points of disguise is being able to pass the system’s facial recognition.”
“That’s nothing. I can fake not just facial recognition, but even iris scans,” Narissa said with a sly grin.
She wiped off Skye’s makeup, then transformed herself right in front of everyone. Suddenly, she looked exactly like Alina.
When Alina saw her own face appear on someone else, she was both shocked and more than a little unsettled.
“Hand me your phone,” Narissa said.
Right in front of Alina, Narissa used Skye’s face to unlock Alina’s phone.
“There’s no way that’s going to work!” Alina protested.

But the next second, the phone unlocked without a hitch.
Alina was completely stunned. ‘It’s just makeup–how could it actually fool facial recognition?‘ she thought.
“That must be because this system is too bàsic. Do you dare take her to the gate’s security scanner for a real test?” Alina challenged.
51%
She knew the scanners at the military base were top–tier technology, equipped with not just facial recognition, but also iris scans and motion capture.
If even one part didn’t match, the system wouldn’t let them pass.
‘Let’s see how Narissa gets through this one, she thought.
“Of course,” Narissa replied calmly.
Narissa led Skye–now made up to look exactly like Alina–over to the scanner at the entrance.
“This scanner is seriously high–tech. Are you sure this is going to work?” Even Skye couldn’t help but feel a little anxious.
“How’s your imitation skill these days?” Narissa just took one look at the scanner and instantly figured out what kind it was.
“No worries, I’ve aced all the mimicry classes,” Skye replied with confidence.
“Come here,” Narissa said.
Changing someone’s iris wasn’t something she could just do in a snap, but Narissa had an uncanny eye for picking up on every little color detail.
She had already picked out a pair of contacts that matched Alina’s iris down to the finest detail.
With a few tweaks, they’d be almost indistinguishable from the real thing.
For Narissa, this kind of thing was a piece of cake.
“Are you sure this is going to work?” Skye asked, still sounding a bit nervous.
“Go on,” Narissa said.
Narissa didn’t say anything more.
Alina and the instructor were both waiting to see her fail, convinced that this top–tier security system was on a whole different level from a simple phone unlock.
Skye took a deep breath, and in the next second, her whole aura turned icy and composed. Her walk, her gestures, even her facial expressions were a flawless imitation of Alina.
As she stepped up to the scanner, it immediately began scanning her face.
“Facial recognition passed, iris scan passed, motion capture passed. Identity confirmed. Alina Manning!” Cedric announced, giving a play–by–play like a commentator.
The moment the gate opened, Alina and the instructor immediately started voicing their doubts.
Alina said, “Impossible!”
