Miranda clenched her fists. “Is she doing this just to provoke me?”

“Don’t get mad, it’s not worth it,” Cressida said, trying to comfort her.

“I just can’t stand that smug, petty look on her face. I’m cursing her to lose!” Miranda grumbled.

Even though Miranda was hoping Shanna would crash and burn, Shanna really had what it took.

She not only took her fourth win but also immediately signed up for a fifth match.

It was obvious she was doing this just to completely humiliate Miranda.

But against all odds, she actually pulled off another win.

She kept fighting match after match without a break.

All eyes were on Shanna now, her brilliance totally eclipsing Miranda’s earlier glory.

Of course, Miranda was fuming.

To make it even worse, Shanna swaggered right over after her match, just dying to show off.

Shanna was downright cocky.

As if mocking Cressida wasn’t enough, she went ahead and ridiculed the entire Regality Academy.

Everyone knew Regality Academy had plenty of heirs from powerful families, so for Shanna to act this brazen, it could only mean Lunaris Academy had someone truly formidable backing her up.

That was when Cressida finally snapped.

Narissa frowned a little, but didn’t say a word. She just grabbed another bag and kept eating like nothing happened.

“You!” Cressida blurted out, feeling like her scolding was meaningless.

She was left with nowhere to vent her anger but to stew in her seat.

After a few more students finished their matches, Jaylen finally stood up from his seat.

The moment everyone saw him get up, the whole crowd buzzed with excitement.

“Awesome. Jaylen’s about to take the stage!” someone cheered.

“Jaylen’s a total beast. He could probably win more than a dozen matches easily!” another student gushed.

With everyone watching him in anticipation, Jaylen stepped up to the stage without a moment’s hesitation.

He’d already calculated the timing of each match, and with the competition nearly halfway through, his plan was to rack wins in a row to even the score with Lunaris Academy.
