Chapter 93

Bring it on!Narissa said.

Reese narrowed his eyes, locking his gaze on Narissa, not even blinking.

The whole place went dead silenteveryone was just waiting for Reese to totally destroy Narissa.

But then, to everyone’s surprise, Reese just smiled in front of the whole crowd.

He looked at Narissa and said, I’ve been waiting for you.”

Everyone looked completely baffled.

They all thought, What did he just say?

What does Reese mean by that?

Wait, do they actually know each other?

Narissa gave a cold, fearless laugh, not a hint of fear in her eyes.

Shanna couldn’t help but snap, Is she crazy? Facing such a powerful opponent, and she’s still striking a pose instead of defending herself.

She’s just asking to get killed!

Everyone from Regality Academy was holding their breath, hearts practically in their throats.

They all thought Reese, provoked and ready to strike, would take Narissa out with a single move and toss her right out of the

arena.

Strangely enough, Reese just stood there, not moving a muscle.

If his eyes weren’t still fixed on Narissa, everyone would’ve thought he’d dozed off on his feet.

Just as everyone was still clueless about what Reese was up to, Gilbert suddenly voiced his theory, Weird.

Why do I get the feeling that assassin is actually wary of Narissa, and that’s why he isn’t making a move?

His words were like a wakeup call for everyone, and they all started watching Reese’s every move with sharp attention.

They were all shocked by what they saw.

Gilbert had totally nailed it.

That’s Reese the assassin we’re talking about. How could he possibly be wary of a total rookie?someone whispered in. disbelief.

Another person said, Oh my god, am I seeing this right? An assassin actually hesitating because of a delicate girl who looks like she couldn’t hurt a fly?

This is straight out of a fantasy novel.”

Just as everyone was still reeling from the shock and anticipation, a sudden voice broke the silence.

Cressida siad, No way. Reese is insanely strong, and Narissa’s only had a couple of days of fight training.

How could Reese possibly be afraid of a loser like her? There’s definitely something fishy going on here.

What if Reese was one of Narissa’s sugar daddies too? Maybe they’re just putting on an act. That must be it.”

Just as everyone was starting to wonder if there was some kind of secret between Narissa and Reese, Reese suddenly made his move.

He’d been sizing Narissa up, trying to see if she was hiding any deadly weapons that could actually threaten his life.

But after giving her a quick onceover with his trained eyes, he finally let his guard down.

Reese thought, No weapons on her at all. So what am I even worried about?

Let’s just get this started.

As an assassin, Reese was a master of closequarters combat.

As a seasoned professional, he knew every lethal point on the human body like the back of his hand.

When he threw his punch, it was aimed straight at Narissa’s temple.

A heavy blow to the temple could cause instant concussion or even kill someone on the spot.

Narissa leaned back, dodging the punch with effortless grace. In one smooth motion, she caught Reese’s arm and used it as leverage to vault herself onto his shoulders.

Her legs coiled tightly around his neck, trapping him in a deadly hold.

If she wanted to, she could have snapped his neck with her legs right then and there.

But the match had just begun, and there was no way Reese would surrender so easily.

He clamped both hands tightly around Narissa’s legs, then suddenly launched himself into the air.

He threw his weight backward in an attempt to slam her hard against the ground and break free from her chokehold.

Seeing that she was about to be used as a landing cushion, Narissa slipped away like a snake, using Reese’s own momentum to spring herself up into the air.

As she went, she made sure to give Reese a hard kick to the chest, giving him an extra shove so he’d hit the ground even harder.
