From a Wrong Turn to Mr. Right novel Chapter 157

Oh no. Crap!

She totally forgot to text Ethan Carter.

At this hour, Ethan was probably already out looking for her.

Jasper Lane noticed something was off with her face. He suddenly looked anxious.

He’d only just mentioned Ethan, and Olivia’s expression had changed in a heartbeat. Had they gotten into a fight or something?

Not that he could really get involved in a married couple’s business.

Jasper suddenly felt a headache coming on. He stared at Olivia Bennett, still a little worried. “Olivia, is everything okay?”

Olivia’s brows were knitted tight, her mind completely consumed by Ethan Carter.

She didn’t feel like chatting.

Her tone was rushed, a little flustered, “Sorry, Jasper, I’ve got something I need to take care of. I have to go.”

With that, she spun around and hurried out.

Jasper watched her retreating back. His suspicions seemed to be confirmed.

He let out a long, heavy sigh.

Ethan just wasn’t cut out for relationships.

Olivia was so sweet, and she was pregnant, for God’s sake. And Ethan still managed to get into arguments with her.

Meanwhile, as Olivia opened the door to their private room, Nannie Bruce stood up.

She was about to ask if Olivia wanted any dessert, but froze when she saw the anxious look on Olivia’s face.

Nannie’s expression turned serious. She hurried over, worried. “Olivia, is something wrong?”

She gave Olivia a quick once-over. Aside from a splash of water on her shirt, she looked pretty much the same as when she’d left a few minutes ago.

“I messed up, Nannie.” Olivia replied, flipping frantically through her phone.

Nannie blinked, confused. “What happened?”

“I forgot to text Ethan Carter,” Olivia muttered, already scrolling through her messages.

Sure enough, she had a bunch of missed calls and unread texts. Twelve, to be exact.
