“I’ll do it,” one of the men said, then walked toward Teri with a shining knife in his hand. He bent down and grabbed Teri by the collar, hauling her up.

Teri’s face was frozen with terror, her eyes wide and brimming with fear, but she made no sound.

“Hahaha, look at her. She’s scared out of her mind,” the man holding Teri sneered. “Who says rich kids are always pampered? In the end, their parents just pay people like us to take care of their problems…”

He raised the knife, aiming it at Teri’s neck.

Athena’s eyes narrowed. She couldn’t hold back any longer and burst through the door.

“Stop!”

Everyone in the room froze and turned to look at Athena.

“Who are you? How did you find this place?” The chubby man scowled, glancing behind Athena.

When he saw she hadn’t brought anyone else, he looked relieved.

He gave a cold laugh and said, “You actually managed to find us, that’s pretty impressive. But you barged in all by yourself? I can’t tell if you’re just stupid or incredibly gutsy.”

Athena locked eyes with the man holding Teri, worry flooding her chest. She hadn’t been able to see clearly from outside, but now she saw just how pale and shaken Teri was.

Her face was ghostly, and her body trembled nonstop.

Teri must have been absolutely terrified.

Athena spoke calmly, trying to make them abandon their plan.
