Chapter 99 Hurry Up and Take Care of the Kid
Initially, Harriet was puzzled, wondering what Athena was up to.
She never imagined things would turn out like this.

Athena said, “I told her on purpose that Zaden had already found a lead on the maid. But actually, there’s been no progress on Zaden’s side. Bridget was afraid her plan would be exposed, so right after we left, she started making arrangements to make sure nothing would wrong.”
Harriet nodded, finally understanding.
She had to admit Athena was really sharp. She now looked at her with newfound respect.
Before long, she thought of something else and said anxiously, “But now that we know who’s behind it, it still doesn’t help. She already gave the order to act. If we don’t find Teri soon, it might be too late!”
Harriet’s face grew concerned as she spoke.
Athena, however, stayed completely calm.

She said with a serious look, “This device isn’t just for eavesdropping. It can track the phone’s location, too. Call Zaden right now and have him bring people to rescue Teri. We’ll hurry to the site and stop them. We can still make it in time!”
Harriet’s eyes lit up, surprisingly impressed by Athena.
They followed the signal to an abandoned old factory, surrounded by wild weeds. It was dead silent and pitch dark, so dark they could barely see anything.
There were faint lights coming from the upper floors of one of the factory buildings.
Harriet whispered, “There’s someone inside!”
She quickly took out her phone and sent Zaden the exact location again.
Athena looked grim as she opened the car door to get out, but Harriet grabbed her arm. “Wait, where are you going?”
“I’m going in to check it out. You stay here and wait for Zaden.”
On the way here, Harriet had already told Zaden they had found Teri’s location.

Athena had reminded her not to mention Bridget, so Harriet was careful to keep things vague.
All they had to do now was wait.
Harriet said, “No way, it’s too dangerous for you to go in alone. We don’t even know how many people are inside. What if there are a lot of them? You should wait for Zaden.”
She didn’t agree with Athena’s plan.
But Athena said firmly, “You heard the call. Bridget told them to act fast. If we lose Teri now just because we’re a few seconds late, I’ll never forgive myself.”
Harriet’s grip on Athena’s hand slowly loosened.
She hesitated. “Then… at least let me go with you.”
“I’ll go by myself. If both of us get in trouble, it’ll only make Zaden’s rescue harder. This factory is huge, and it’ll take him a while to find us. I can keep you updated with my location so you can guide them right to the spot.”
Harriet didn’t say anything else after that.
She nodded. “All right, but be careful! If Teri’s safe, don’t do anything reckless.”
Athena nodded, slipped into the grass, and soon vanished from sight.
Harriet sat in the car, watching the direction Athena had gone, silently praying.
She just hoped Zaden would arrive soon. She was scared Athena might run into danger.
Athena had already started moving toward the light.
She reached the outside of a big empty room and heard voices from inside.
Peeking through a crack, she saw several moving figures and a small form huddled in the
corner.
It’s Teri!
Athena was overjoyed. She really was here,
Teri was curled up, her hands and feet bound. She looked so weak and pitiful that Athena’s heart filled with rage.
She couldn’t believe they would go after such a little kid.
