She half–joked, “Then I guess we’ll count on you!”

The corner of Zaden’s mouth tugged upward. “Count on me for as long as you want–even for a lifetime.”
Athena felt like his words had pierced straight through her chest.
Of course, she knew he was teasing–but the words carried a pull she couldn’t ignore.
Flirting without even realizing it–that was the most dangerous kind.
“I’ll go finish packing,” she said, desperate for an excuse to escape before she embarrassed herself.
Most of her things were already packed from the night before; she only needed to do a final
sweep.
Once their luggage was ready, Athena and Zaden set off for the summer camp hotel.
A large sign marked the camp at the entrance, where a staff member wearing a badge greeted the arrivals.
After parking, they approached the registration desk–and that was when Athena realized something completely unexpected.
This summer camp was anything but ordinary.
She froze, incredulous.
“Livestreaming has become incredibly popular lately, so our camp is broadcast live in real time. But don’t worry–all profits will be distributed proportionally to each family, to be used as startup funds for the tasks,” the staffer explained with a warm smile,
Athena almost cursed aloud. This is the second time I’ve been tricked by this summer camp!
The man seemed to notice her hesitation and leaned in slightly. “Mrs. Belmont, not only do you get free admission, but you’ll also receive income–and who knows, you might even gain some recognition. Isn’t that something most people would jump at?”
Ha. I happen to be the one person who doesn’t want any of that
“And when you decided to make this change, did it never occur to you to tell us? This is outright deception!” she snapped.

Chapter 130 That Would Be Insanel
“We’re sorry! We only just received the notice ourselves,” he said hurriedly.

Athena ground her teeth. There was nothing she could do. They’d already driven two hours, and she’d gone so far as to register her marriage with Zaden just for this camp. Pulling out now would be a huge loss.
Taking a deep breath, she turned to Zaden and Teri. “Do you both still want to go through with this?” she asked.
Zaden shrugged casually. “Up to you.”
Teri nodded eagerly, clearly wanting to stay.
Seeing that Zaden didn’t object and Teri seemed unbothered, Athena relaxed slightly.
If Teri had resisted, she would have withdrawn on the spot.
Clenching her teeth, Athena said, “Alright. We’ll go ahead.”
“I wish you both an enjoyable camp experience,” the staffer said politely.
He led them to a conference room to wait for the other families. “Once everyone has arrived, our summer camp journey will begin!”
Inside, they noticed another family already seated.
On spotting Athena, the man introduced himself first. “Hello, I’m Thomas Blander. This is my wife, Linda, and our son, Bryan.”
Thomas looked young, and Linda was stylishly dressed, clearly a fashionable young couple.
Athena returned the courtesy. “Hello, I’m Athena. This is my husband … Mr. Storm, and our daughter, Teri.”
She had wanted to give Zaden’s full name, but decided a vague introduction was safer, so as not to draw unnecessary attention.
Linda narrowed her eyes, studying Athena with sharp curiosity. “Mrs. Storm … I feel like I’ve heard your name before. It sounds so familiar, but I can’t place it.”
Athena’s smile stiffened.
Her highly publicized drama with Lewis had been the talk of the town–how could it not ring a bell?
But there was no shame in it. She and Lewis had settled their differences. Denying anything seemed unnecessary.
