Zaden said quietly, “Wasn’t it a dream about feeling my abs?”
Oh my God.
“Counting whether there are eight?”
Athena was utterly mortified.
She stared at Zaden in horror, feeling like she might split in two.
How on earth did he know she’d had those dreams? Had he been peeking into her head?
Of course, that was impossible.
It had to be that she’d slipped up somewhere.
Athena asked anxiously, “Did I … do something to you?”
“Mm.”
Athena was really speechless.
She grimaced and pressed on, “What did I do? It wasn’t too much, was it?”
Zaden watched her, and a small smile tugged at his mouth–he thought it kind of funny.
He’d only been trying to tease her a little.
He raised an eyebrow. “What do you

In that dream last night, she’d been happily feeling the guy’s abs, and the puppy had— shockingly–nine of them! She’d been amazed, and when she tried to get a closer look, the guy just kept dodging her.
After that, she didn’t remember what happened.
Could it be she’d mistaken Zaden for the puppy?
…
Athena felt utterly mortified.
At last, she looked up at Zaden and said, “Sorry–I didn’t mean to sully your innocence. I’m really sorry. Are you okay?”

Zaden let out a low chuckle. “There isn’t much innocence left between us anyway.”
He wasn’t wrong.
But Athena still knew exactly where she stood.
…”
Just then, voices rang out from outside, “Mrs. Storm, Mr. Storm… are you there? Answer us …
It was the camp staff coming to find them!
Athena called back at once, “They’re here. Let’s go out.”
They followed the sound and soon spotted several people–and leading them was Lewis, his face ruined, eyes rimmed with worry as he scanned the area.
Athena couldn’t feel the slightest bit happy.
He really wouldn’t leave her alone.
Still, she waved toward the group and called, “We’re here!”
They heard and hustled over, surrounding Zaden and Athena. “Mr. Storm, Mrs. Storm, finally found you!”
The camp hadn’t expected parents to organize a hike, much less get lost.
Zaden was the Storm heir; if anything had happened to him, they couldn’t bear the liability. They’d been searching in the rain all night and found nothing.
Luckily, they’d found them now, and both looked unharmed.
Lewis’s wet hair hung messily over his forehead, his usual image gone; dark circles shadowed his eyes, and his face was exhausted.
“Athena, I searched for you all night!” Lewis’s voice was hoarse.
He reached out to pull Athena away.
Another hand blocked him; Zaden’s cold eyes met Lewis’s. “Mr. Belmont, where exactly are you planning to take my wife?”
Lewis didn’t let go–he acted as if he hadn’t heard Zaden and didn’t even glance at him.
He turned to Athena with a soft voice. “Athena, when I heard you were missing, I was terrified. I’m so glad you’re okay. Come–I’ll take you home.”
