The officer escorted Lewis out. Ronan stood there, watching, until the realization finally sank in.

Ronan’s eyes went wide, his words stuck in his throat. According to the report, Lewis had broken into Zaden’s room, tried to hurt Athena, and even fought with Zaden!

Athena focused seriously on treating his wound. Her brows were drawn tight, the guilt in her eyes visible. She clearly thought Zaden was hurt because of her.

“Athena, don’t blame yourself. This isn’t your fault. Lewis is just a terrible person. He has no morals. You don’t have to take this on yourself.”

Zaden cut her off, setting her straight.

Athena went quiet, realizing he was right. This was all Lewis’s fault. She hadn’t done anything
