Chapter 198 Too Late
Pandra froze when she heard what Albas said.
This wasn’t the time to keep fighting. Once she snapped out of it, she quickly told him, “Call Mrs. Storm right now and ask her about this. If Zaden did this, then have her fix it!”
That finally jolted Albas into action. He hurried to call Beverly Storm.
But no one picked up.
He tried again and again–still nothing.
That’s when it hit him. Beverly had played him.
If he hadn’t sided with her before, maybe the company wouldn’t be collapsing. But he thought having Beverly’s support made him untouchable—and now he’d dragged his whole company down with him.
He didn’t know what to do anymore.
Seeing how lost he looked, Pandra pressed, “Well? What did Mrs. Storm say? Is this the Storms‘ doing?”
Albas clenched his jaw. “We’ve been played. Mrs. Storm never planned to help us.”
Pandra’s face went pale.
“What? Then what about the Belmonts? Mrs. Belmont said she’d help us, too. Call her–see if she can do anything.”
Albas let out a bitter laugh. “Lewis already went public, begging Athena for forgiveness. You think Nina–who’s about to be tossed aside–has the power to help us now?”
Even if Nina wanted to help, she was no match for the Storms.
Pandra’s hands trembled. Their company had finally started to gain traction after all these years, and now it was on the brink of collapse.
“Maybe we should go find Athena,” she said desperately.
Albas didn’t even hesitate. “Yeah. She’s the only one who can help us now.”
Athena looked at Kit, who was lounging on her couch and eating fruit, then sighed. “Since he

already took care of the problem, there’s nothing else you need to do. So why are you still here?
“If you plan to stay, be my guest. But I’m heading out soon.”
Kit sat up straight, frowning. “Where are you going?”
Athena said calmly, “Getting a divorce.”
Kit almost choked.
It took him a few seconds to process that. “Wait, what did you just say? You’re divorcing Zaden?”
“Who else?” she said flatly. “We only got married for Teri’s sake. Now that Teri’s fine, it’s better to end things cleanly.”
Kit didn’t know how to respond. He had been against her marrying Zaden from the start, but now, seeing how calm and detached she was, he wasn’t sure what to think.
Did Athena really not feel anything for Zaden?
He hesitated for a long moment before saying, “Dad told me to help you get revenge, so I arranged a little show. I was going to tell you about it today. Didn’t expect you’d have something even more dramatic planned.”
Athena wasn’t sure what “show” he was talking about, but she and Zaden had already agreed to meet that day to officially divorce.
Nothing else could top that.
She was about to tell Kit she’d deal with his “show” later, but the doorbell suddenly rang. Athena went to open it.
Standing outside were a man and a woman.
