She felt dizzy, almost drunk even without a sip of alcohol.

It had been so long since Athena had dated that she’d practically forgotten what it was like. Her marriage with Lewis felt like another lifetime.

Zaden had only kissed her forehead, not wanting to startle her.

But Athena was still frozen in shock.

Zaden said quietly, “Sorry, did that scare you?”
