Zaden had thought Athena really went out, but after Teri reminded him today, Zaden realized something was off. Athena seemed unusually quiet, almost gloomy. Maybe something had happened yesterday.
But Athena hadn’t said a word to him about it.
Zaden didn’t rush to get out of the car. He tapped the steering wheel lightly, waiting patiently for Tommy’s update.
Tommy, as efficient as always, called back soon.
“Mr. Storm.”
“Yeah?”
Tommy hesitated a little before reporting, “Yesterday, Lewis went to see Ms. Hall. But I couldn’t find out what they talked about.”
Zaden’s brows furrowed. Something really did happen.
Tommy cleared his throat and went on. “Lewis was supposed to be locked up. But last time, Mrs. Storm used her connections to get him released. After that, he started poking around online about Ms. Hall.
“Luckily, he only made a brief appearance and didn’t do much, so we ignored him. But it turns out he’s been bothering Ms. Hall in private. Mr. Storm, should we do something about it?”
Zaden thought for a moment.
Last time, Lewis had broken the rules himself, and that gave Zaden a chance to act. But now was different. He couldn’t break the law just to teach Lewis a lesson.
No need for that. There would be plenty of opportunities later.
Zaden calmed himself and said, “Got it. Keep an eye on Lewis.”
He was about to hang up when Tommy suddenly said, “Wait, Mr. Storm! There’s one more thing.”
Zaden paused. “Go ahead.”
“While I was checking, I found that Lewis drove toward the suburbs today. Didn’t you, Ms. Hall, and Ms. Teri go to the amusement park today?”

Tommy continued, “That’s the only big place out there. He probably went there too. You might run into him.”
Now that Tommy had learned Lewis had visited Athena yesterday and was now heading in the same direction, it was obvious he might have gone there because of her. Tommy felt he had to warn Zaden.
Zaden’s eyes narrowed. So Lewis really was here.
Tommy added awkwardly, “And one more thing. Lewis and Nina divorced. Apparently, Lewis made it happen through his own connections. Nina didn’t want the divorce, but he insisted.”
After saying that, Tommy let out a sigh. “No wonder he’s clinging to Ms. Hall. But after everything he’s done, there’s no way she’d ever forgive him.”
Zaden’s tone was firm, his expression dark. “She’ll never forgive him.”
He hadn’t known Athena long, but he already understood she was a woman with strong principles.
Zaden ended the call, got out of the car, and walked toward the amusement park entrance.
At the entrance, families crowded the gate. Parents held their children’s hands, laughter filling the air. Athena was standing beside Teri, waiting for Zaden to return from parking.
She looked around, and suddenly, her whole body went stiff.
It was Lewis.
A child stood beside him. Athena instinctively glanced at the kid, and disappointment flashed in her eyes when she saw who it was.
She thought he’d brought their daughter.
But it was only Dion, Nina’s son.
Lewis noticed Athena’s reaction, a smug smile tugging at his lips, clearly pleased with himself for stirring her emotions.
