Chapter 237 Show You Something Interesting

Athena could tell right away he was teasing her.

Without wasting time, she said bluntly, “Zaden, there’s no need for small talk. I already told before. Whatever I do now has nothing to do with you.”

He stayed quiet for a while, then finally said calmly, “Athena, we’re still married.”

That single sentence made her freeze.

Zaden had hinted at it before. No matter how many times she said she wanted to split, they were still legally husband and wife.

She pursed her lips. “Then let’s get the divorce papers done soon.”

you

Zaden didn’t respond to that. Instead, he looked at her and asked, “Want to know where Lewis went?”

His gloating tone caught her off guard. She looked surprised and asked doubtfully, “You know something? Or did you pull some strings?”

He took her hand. “Come on. I’ll show you something interesting.”

She didn’t even know how to respond.

In a suburban villa, Nina sat in the living room beside a little girl. Anna stared at her with a mix of curiosity and unease.

“You’re not even that cute. Guess Athena’s daughter isn’t anything special.”

Nina sneered.

Her cold smile made Anna shrink back, trembling.

Nina played with her fingers. Lewis had suddenly divorced her, all to chase after Athena again. She wasn’t about to let him walk away that easily.

Just when she was at a loss, an anonymous message tipped her off.

She instantly realized Lewis had been hiding his and Athena’s daughter here.

Later, she slipped into the place with her people, took down everyone guarding it, and took full

control of the villa.

It looked like Anna was Lewis’ leverage to threaten Athena.

Nina also knew Lewis planned to announce his reunion with Athena tonight, which was exactly why she’d gone all out to pull him away.

In her mind, his wife had to be her. She’d never let Athena take that spot.

She started racking her brain, trying to figure out how to use Anna to get Lewis back.

Nina’s face turned cold. She barked out, “Take her away!”

Two huge bodyguards walked in and grabbed Anna. Seeing their expressionless faces, she broke down crying. “I don’t want to go…

Nina didn’t show the slightest bit of sympathy. “Take her away!”

They dragged Anna off fast, one of them covering her mouth.

The villa went completely quiet.

Nina sat on the couch, arms folded, waiting for Lewis to show up.

Not long after, the front door swung open. The bodyguards at the entrance tried to stop Lewis but failed. They turned to Nina and said, “Ms. Green, we couldn’t stop him.”

She waved them off. “It’s fine. You guys can leave.”

Lewis scanned the room, but Anna wasn’t there. His face darkened, jaw tight. “Where is she? What did you do with her?”

“Lewis, I don’t want to fight. But if you want to leave me, don’t blame me for taking the hard way.”

Nina stood up and moved closer, trying to throw herself into his arms.

“Lewis, promise you won’t leave me, and I’ll give her back.”

Lewis’ expression turned stormy.

His fists tightened until his knuckles popped, his whole aura turning cold.

Nina actually had the guts to threaten him.

She didn’t seem to notice the deadly anger in his eyes.

Seeing how mad he was only made her feel smug. She thought she had total control now. Without Anna, he couldn’t threaten Athena anymore.
