Chapter 74 Hidden Truths, Quiet Suspicions
Just then, a knock sounded at the door.
“Come in.”

Ned pushed the door open and stepped inside. He spoke respectfully, “Mr. Belmont, all the online posts have been cleaned up. But since the news already went out, it still had some effect. Belmont Group’s stock dropped by two points.”
Lewis’s face stayed cold. “Noted on that.”
Right now, he couldn’t care less about the stock. The only thing on his mind was how to deal with Athena.
How could he get her back?
“What about the matter I asked you to investigate?”
Ned hesitated before replying. “The hospital staff has all been replaced since then. It’s hard to track anything down. I’m trying to find the nurse.
“People said she retired and moved abroad. No one knows where she is now, and no one has her contact information.”
Lewis’s jaw tightened. “Got it. Keep looking.”
Ned nodded and left.
Lewis walked back to the tall window, staring down at the city below. Memories pulled him back to the past.
Back then, after taking Athena’s baby away, he handed the child to a nurse at the hospital. He gave her a large sum of money and told her to treat the baby like medical waste. He told everyone else the baby had died.
But maybe the baby hadn’t died at all.
Afterward, the nurse vanished without a trace. Even he couldn’t find her.
Without her, there was no way to know what had happened to Athena’s child.
After Athena settled back into her home, she couldn’t help but feel uneasy.
It felt like some twisted fate kept tying her to Zaden and Teri. No matter how many times she tried to stay away, the three of them always ended up crossing paths again.

That day, Harriet showed up with bags of food.
When she saw Zaden and Teri there too, she set the things down quickly and pulled Athena
into a corner.
“Why is Zaden here? Are you two living together?”
Athena’s lips twitched at the word. “Didn’t you say there are reporters outside? If he goes out now, won’t they snap pictures? I wouldn’t be able to explain that.”
Harriet tilted her head, thoughtful. “Couldn’t he just drive out? They wouldn’t catch anything from inside the car.”
She had to admit, it made sense.
Still, Athena was left speechless. At the time, the thought hadn’t even crossed her mind.
But since Zaden had already stayed, it was too late to change it.
Harriet covered her mouth and giggled. “Well, it’s fine. Spending more time together might spark something.”
“Don’t start. There’s nothing to spark.”
Athena corrected her with a straight face.
Harriet only smirked. “Zaden seems to like you. He even helped with your divorce.”
Athena turned to her in surprise.
Athena hadn’t realized Zaden had stepped in to help.
Harriet hurried to explain. “You know I’m good in court, but Storm Group’s legal team is on another level. I went to Zaden for help. He lent me their lawyers. That says a lot, doesn’t it?”
Athena stayed quiet for a long time.
At last, she gave an awkward smile. With some hesitation, she muttered, “I don’t think so. He probably did it for Teri. If I handle things with Lewis, then Zaden can focus on getting Teri counseling.”
“I’ve known Zaden since we were kids. Don’t think I don’t know him.” Harriet gave her a look full of certainty.
“Ever since his breakup, he’s never cared about another woman. His mom has introduced so many girls to him, and he didn’t even bother to smile at them. But with you, it’s different.”
