“I’ll be upfront. I’m the director here. If I say you’re in, you’re in. If I don’t, then tough luck. It’s all up to me.”

Athena had shown up ready to defend her resume and prove she belonged there.

She didn’t expect him to act like a total creep. Anyone with half a brain could see what he was after.

Athena felt utterly disgusted.
