Rachel pushed down her thoughts and said, “Mr. Vale, I think hiring medical staff isn’t a simple matter. We need to be strict about it–not just anyone should be allowed in. Don’t you think so?”
Dexter was sharp and immediately understood what Rachel meant.
Rachel and Athena probably had some kind of conflict.
In that case, he would naturally support Rachel unconditionally!
“Don’t worry, Ms. Jynn. I understand what to do. I definitely won’t let anyone who doesn’t meet our standards into our hospital.”
Getting Dexter’s response, Rachel smiled with satisfaction.
“You’re a smart man. I’ll make sure to put in a good word for you in the future.” Rachel picked up her purse and left.
As she walked out, she glanced at Athena sitting in the chair.
Athena was younger than she’d expected, with blonde hair, red lips, and striking features that made her undeniably beautiful. Even just sitting there quietly, she had an indescribable, captivating aura that naturally drew people’s eyes, filled with admiration.
Rachel was wearing designer clothes, but when it came to looks alone, she knew she couldn’t compare to Athena. She couldn’t help feeling inferior.
No wonder Athena has the nerve to set her sights on Zaden. She’s probably counting on her good looks!
But Rachel didn’t take this type of woman seriously. She could easily deal with her without breaking a sweat.
A look of contempt flashed in Rachel’s eyes. She smirked mockingly and turned to leave.
When Rachel was looking at her, Athena immediately sensed the hostile gaze,
She found it puzzling since she didn’t recognize the woman, but Athena remained composed. She didn’t react, deciding to wait and observe. Fortunately, the woman didn’t seem to do anything.

“Ms. Hall, HR is ready to see you now. Would you please come with me?”

A staff member came to notify Athena about the interview. Athena stood up and was about to follow, but Dexter emerged from his office and said, “Hold on! Have her come in.”
Didn’t Dexter just say not to bother him?
Athena and Dexter entered the office.
Dexter looked up and studied Athena for a moment. Then he said with a stern face, “You’re Athena Hall, right? Where’s your resume?”
Athena handed over her materials. She said politely, “Good morning, Mr. Vale. This is my resume. Please take a look.”
Dexter flipped through Athena’s materials. When he saw that she had previously been a surgeon, his brow furrowed. He let out a cold laugh. Then he slammed the documents heavily on the desk.
“This resume is fake, isn’t it?” Dexter looked at Athena with contempt. He said mockingly, “A surgeon coming to work as a holistic medicine practitioner–isn’t that quite a leap? Do you think I’m a fool?”
“I’m no longer working as a surgeon. As for my career change to holistic medicine, I believe as long as I pass the exam and obtain the appropriate certification, there shouldn’t be problem, right?”

Athena remained remarkably calm.
Before arriving, she had informed her professor of her decision to join the hospital. The professor had offered to pull some strings, meaning Athena wouldn’t need to undergo the interview process.
But Athena felt it was better to follow the standard procedures.
She never expected to encounter such obstacles during the interview.
This interviewer seemed to have a serious problem with her.
Athena suddenly thought of the woman who had looked at her strangely earlier. Could her current situation be related to that woman?
Remembering Rachel’s instructions, Dexter didn’t want to hear Athena’s explanations anymore,
He didn’t believe any of her explanations at all.
He said coldly, “Our hospital doesn’t hire doctors with fake resumes. If something goes wrong
