Tiffany was so innocent and inexperienced that Alicia let herself get talked into it and just agreed without even thinking twice in her previous life.
The more Alicia dwelt on it, the more absurd she felt. That painting of a riverside house with a little bridge. was straight out of a dream she’d had back then.
It was a dream from her childhood–Richard was there, she was there, Charlie was there, and Rosalie too.
So, even though Alicia had only sketched a few figures into the scene, she was convinced she’d captured everyone’s unique traits with those few strokes.
Back then, Richard always wore a shabby old hat, Charlie would have his backpack slung over his shoulder, Alicia would pretend a twig was her paintbrush, and Rosalie would be lost in her book.
Alicia’s grip tightened.
While Alicia was still lost in her memories, the whole lecture hall froze for a few seconds, then burst into a wave of astonished gasps.
“No way! Is this painting really by the famous Sweetheart Queen from the internet?” someone blurted out in shock.
“It really does look like her style. Quick, search online and compare them!” another urged, excitement in their voice.
“Whoa, found it! It’s her for sure! Look at the big screen–her artist’s signature is right there!” someone else shouted.
“Oh my god, it’s actually the Sweetheart Queen! I can’t believe she’s a student at our school!” someone gasped.
“No freaking way, I’m schoolmates with a superstar artist? This is unreal! Host, come on, tell us the name! Whose painting is this?” another student yelled, practically bursting with anticipation.
Everyone was losing their minds, eyes fixed on Janice, just waiting for her to announce the artist’s name.
But some students were feeling pretty crushed. If the Sweetheart Queen was their schoolmate and going after the same mentor, their own chances just went up in smoke.
Meanwhile, Janice on stage was completely at a loss.
After all, the artworks were all mixed up, and usually she’d just report the artist’s name based on the signature. There hadn’t been any rehearsal this time–she’d only taken on hosting duties to practice handling unexpected situations.
But now, with “Sweetheart Queen” signed on this painting, how on earth was she supposed to announce the real name?
Just as Janice was still trying to process what had happened, someone handed her a slip of paper.

She glanced at it, and instantly, a bright grin broke out on her face.
Gripping the microphone, she couldn’t hide her excitement as she declared, “Alright, everyone–are you ready to find out who managed to submit thirteen artworks in one go? It’s Tiffany Lawrence!”
As soon as Tiffany’s name was announced, the crowd went wild. “No way, it’s Tiffany! She’s really the Sweetheart Queen?” someone gasped.
“Oh my god, is she really this awesome? I could’ve sworn she never even took art classes, another student muttered, clearly in disbelief.
“Well, her family’s super rich, and she’s hardly ever at school. I heard she learns everything at home with top- tier private tutors. No wonder she’s way ahead of the rest of us. Just watch her play piano–you’ll see what I mean,” another chimed in, a hint of envy in her voice.
“How do you even become friends with someone like her? She’s insanely talented. Man, if I’d known earlier, I would’ve tried to get close just to ask for a piece! That stuff’s only going to appreciate big time,” someone sighed, sounding both jealous and regretful.
Everyone was caught up in the excitement, totally forgetting all that drama on the forum. Nobody even remembered how they used to say she was vicious, calling her the picture of kindness on the outside but secretly a devil underneath.
Then again, maybe the ones who were hyping her up now weren’t even the same people who used to troll her
back then.
Anyway, Tiffany wasn’t the timid girl everyone remembered. This time, she was the center of attention— people flocked around her, singing her praises.
Even the art teachers in the second row couldn’t hide their amazement. “This student’s artistic skill is no joke. I’d say it’s the result of years of practice—if not a full decade, then certainly close to eight years,” one of them exclaimed.
“What’s incredible is how each of her pieces looks simple, but it feels like every canvas is its own world. Take the one up on the stage–it’s cozy and warm at first glance, but look from another perspective and the whole thing transforms, like there’s an epic war raging right beneath the surface,” another one marveled.
Meanwhile, Bruce turned to Edward with a wide grin. “Mr. West, how about giving us your thoughts on this student’s work?”
But Edward didn’t say a word. He just couldn’t take his eyes off the painting.
Bruce’s heart leaped. He was so proud he could burst–Edward was totally captivated, probably never figured someone this good would come out of Premier Academy.
As director of the academy, Bruce had never felt more honored.
After a tense pause, Edward suddenly sprang up from his seat. “I want to have a private chat with this student,” he announced, completely focused.
He paused, then remembered to ask politely, “Is that okay?”

Bruce blinked, completely caught off guard Seriously? He’s made up his mind after just one piece? he marveled, mentally stummed.
Well, looks like the rest of the students don’t stand a chance. Hey, I’m honestly fine with that, he thought, a satisfied grin sneaking onto his face. Last time, I couldn’t really come through for Hugh, but at least this time 1 finally pulled something off.
He beamed. “Absolutely, no problem! There’s a lounge right next door–please, make yourself comfortable. I’ll send Tiffany over to meet you.”
Edward nodded and made his way to the lounge.
Bruce wasted no time and called Tiffany right away.
When Tiffany picked up the phone, a relaxed smile spread across her lips. ‘I can’t believe I was nervous a second ago–turns out it was nothing,‘ she thought, feeling relieved. ‘Guess I’m Mr. West’s apprentice now. Alicia’s out of the running.’
She hung up and quickly filled Maria and Hugh in on what had just happened. Hugh was actually present today, which was a pretty rare sight.
When Hugh heard that Edward was asking to meet Tiffany, he couldn’t hide his delight. Leaning in, he whispered, “Just do your best in front of Mr. West. I’ll take care of everything else for you.”
Tiffany nodded. “Alright, Dad.”
She stood up and made her way toward the lounge.
