Tiffany nodded. “Alright, Dad. So, what are you planning to do about Alicia?”

Hugh said, “If she refuses to cooperate, there’s no point in being nice to her. I thought she’d paint for you willingly, but that’s not happening. Guess we’ll have to get tough”

Tiffany had a pretty good idea of what Hugh was thinking.

A wave of excitement washed over her. ‘Is Alicia finally going to be out of the picture? she wondered.

But then a pang of regret hit her. When Hugh had suggested kicking Alicia out of school to force her back, Tiffany had said no.

“She wanted Alicia to be her control group, a benchmark to measure herself against. But now, after all that had happened, she realized that ever since Alicia left the Lawrence family, everything had spiraled out of her control.

Now, it seemed like she was the one being compared to Alicia.

Frustrated and biting her lip, Tiffany asked, “So, Dad, what do I do?”

“Just keep impressing Mr. West and keep up your act as the Sweetheart Queen. People are starting to doubt you, but Alicia can’t prove those paintings are hers. Just stay cool. Remember what to say and what not to say,” Hugh reminded her.

Tiffany nodded. “Got it, Dad.”

Hugh rolled the ring between his fingers and said, “If Alicia stays out of sight, you can still post those paintings online yourself. The whole scandal will blow over, and no one will suspect you.”

Tiffany saw the cold, ruthless glint in Hugh’s eyes and felt so intimidated that she kept quiet.

“Alright, go get some rest. Tomorrow, I’ll have Mr. Sherman send you Mr. West’s address. You and your mom should go visit him,” Hugh said.

After a pause, he asked, “You remember what you’re supposed to do, right?”

Tiffany nodded. “Yeah. I won’t bring up being his student. I’ll just be the host and check in on him.”

Hugh suddenly smiled. He knew he hadn’t been wrong. Tiffany was sharper than all his sons combined.

“Go on,” Hugh said, his voice softer now. “Have your mom take care of your face. Clean it up a bit. I was just too angry earlier. I didn’t mean to hit you. You’re not holding it against me, are you?”

Tiffany shook her head. “Of course not, Dad. I know you do everything for me.”

“Good.” Hugh nodded, watching as Tiffany left the study.

He picked up the phone and called the PR Department. “I need you to handle a personal matter for me.”

Sienna thought about it for a second and then cheered right up. “You’re right. So, hook me up with a couple of your paintings and help me get rich.”

Alicia gave her a playful glare. “Too late. You just dissed my art. No way I’m helping you now.”
