Karma Doesn’t Sleep: The Revenge Queen Rises novel Chapter 412

Timmy pulled his neck in and flashed his most innocent, adorable smile, imitating Penny’s whiny tone. “Mom, I’m so hungry. Can we eat first, please?”

Amelia just stared at him, speechless.

By then, Will had walked over. He watched Amelia’s face carefully, and his eyes darkened a little. “Am I making you uncomfortable by being here tonight?”

“Not at all,” Amelia said quickly, waving her hand. “I just thought Timmy’s friends were coming tonight. I didn’t expect to see you. Sit down.”

Soft, romantic music floated through the restaurant, and couples filled nearly every table.

Amelia sat across from Will, and the whole thing felt just a little awkward.

Will, always considerate, asked if anyone had food allergies or preferences before flagging down the waiter to order.

Timmy’s big, bright eyes darted around the table as he quietly took everything in.

He’s thoughtful. Not bad.

He pays attention to Mom and actually looks pretty sharp. Handsome, even.

Kyle caught Timmy’s eye, wiggling his eyebrows. He leaned over, grinning. “Well? My uncle’s pretty great, huh?”

Timmy shrugged. “He’s… alright, I guess.”

Will finished ordering and turned to Amelia, his gaze softening with obvious admiration. “You look really beautiful tonight.”

Amelia smiled. “Thank you.”

“Oh, by the way, I got you a little something.” Will slid a small, elegant gift box across the table. “Happy divorce?”

Just from the fancy wrapping, Amelia could tell it wasn’t cheap. She was about to politely refuse and push the box back, but Will saw through her instantly. He pressed his hand firmly on the box, cutting her off. “It’s a bracelet I designed myself. Nothing expensive. If you turn this down, I’ll really think you don’t like me.”

There was a hint of hurt in his eyes.

With him saying that, Amelia couldn’t bring herself to refuse. “Okay then. I’ll accept it.”

She opened the box. Inside was a beautiful bracelet—tiny crabapple blossoms in every stage from bud to bloom winding along a golden vine. The petals and vine gleamed gold, and in the center of each flower sparkled a diamond.

“It’s gold-plated,” Will explained, sipping his tea, “and the diamonds are lab-grown.”

“Seriously?” Amelia looked at him, half skeptical.
