Nora turned and stalked away. You ain’t seen nothing yetShe thought to herself angrily

Hmm, perhaps your Mate is angry about something you didor perhaps, haven’t done. She heard Desmond

chuckled softly, and at Jace’s continued silence, Desmond went on rear Luna’s are impossible at times before they are instated officially Can be more than difficult when not being seen as accreciated, or that

one isn’t thankful to have them in their lives

What are you talking about? She heard the frown in Jace’s voice as the walked towards the stairs. She

tuned her hearing into that very conversation as they walked inside

Hmm, I see now why she’s difficult for you. I’ve not heard anything about her Luna Ceremony or been invited to her Luna Ceremony. Have you done that yet? Or perhaps not? Therefore, the doesn’t feel as though you want her, as your Mate and Luna, and is simply upset about it?

She can have a Luna Ceremony when she acts like a LunaHe grated out loud enough for her to hear knowing she had no wolfen hearing, which also meant everyone else in the packhouse could also hear him

Hmm. I see the problemDesmond nodded. But I think Jace, you want her to act like your Luna, but haven’t

yet acknowledged her as your Luna in an official manner Got yourself in a bit of a pickle, I think. Let me impart some wisdom to you, because 1 think you need it, you’ve been in charge, and doing things your own

way for a very long time

Tunas won’t be Lunas until they are officially acknowledged as a Luna Does Gloria still sit in the Luna’s

chair, call herself the Luna perhaps? And walk about as though she’s the Luna? Do all of that in front of your Mate and I guess, not your Luna

Desmond clucked his tongue at Jace’s lack of response. You’re in the wrong on this one. Jace. How long has

Nora been your mate? What four months now? And you’ve not held a Luna Ceremony Which should have

been done within two moons of claiming her

don’t think she’s being childish,he stated. “I think she is hurt by your lack of respect and acknowledgment

towards her. That you show to this pack, every day she’s here and not acknowledged. It appears to me that

your Mate might just believe you don’t actually want her.

Do you want her? Take a moment, Jace and stand in Nora’s shoes. How would you feel if your Mate claimed

you, but then still kept another woman in her place, as the pack’s Luna? If you were her, how would you feel

and react to that?

Nora half smiled, as she climbed the stairs. At least someone understood her and why she was the way she

was, or part of it anyway. She liked that another Alpha saw it and pointed it out to Jace, right in front of his

unit and anyone else in earshot of them, including her. That he was the one in the wrong.

But she didn’t and wouldn’t go back down there to be humiliated by her Mate once more, because he was

never going to do any of that, because it was not her that he loved, or wanted

She banged into the Alpha Suite and collected her things, she was done, and she knew it. No more would she

live with him. She packed all her stuff into her suitcases and stepped out of the suite, looked about the hall

and wondered where to go.

She couldn’t set foot in that socalled Luna suite, or Gloria’s suite. She might be his Mate but was never to be

his Luna. It was exactly as it read, for Gloria.

She turned and walked away down the hall, found the room furthest away from his room, and pushed into it, put her suitcases down and went back for her books and laptop, brought everything to her new room. She made several trips and no one stopped her. She’d found a room and allocated it for herself. On a technicality, she could do that until he rejected her. It was her bloody goddess given right.

He wasn’t even going to care if she wasn’t in there. Hell, he probably wouldn’t even notice when he returned to the suite, would likely go right to his room and bang the door shut without even looking for her. He might not even notice for days. Guess that depended on when he wanted to sate his Alpha needs. Only then would

he go looking for her, only to have no idea where she was.

She would live in this room from now on, and he could go and do as he pleased. If he turned to Gloria and caused her pain like nothing before, she’d scream down a packwide mind-link let all she could connect with feel her pain and suffering at the hands of her Mate, and their Alpha. No more would she play nice with him.

She set her laptop up on the coffee table and sat on the floor with her back to the couch and logged into her emails, to finally check her semester results and there it was her final grade, a High Distinction mark across

every subject she’d got that magic 40. Even though she knew she should be happy about it, proud of hersel she actually wasn’t in the mood to be happy at all.

Her own Mate had ruined everything in her life, just by coming along and claiming her, he should have just rejected her in the beginning. If she died now, and was reborn into her life with this knowledge, she’d reject him when he tried to claim her. Deal with the pain of it and move on with her life in another direction altogether.

She looked at her destroyed phone on the coffee table, she was going to have to go and buy a new phone in the morning. She couldn’t even call her parents to tell them the results of her exams. There were no landines in most packs because they could just mind-link to anyone for anything. She knew the Alpha’s office and Luna’s office would have one, but she wasn’t going down there to make that call.

She would do it tomorrow from the city after she got her new phone. She picked it up and looked at it, tried to pry the sim card from it but couldn’t. She was likely going to have to get a new one of those too. Well, she thought, on a brighter note, she’d spend the day outside the pack tomorrow. How’s that for disrespect? Asshole. She muttered into her room.

He’d turned what should have been a happy and exciting day for her into one that was painful and filled with bitterness. He’d really shown her today how much he didn’t care about her at all. He’d not even asked about her uni results, or why she wanted to look at her phone, if she was expecting a call or email and what it was

for.

No, only the things he did mattered to him. She felt him many hours later that night coming her way. He was pulling on her tether, and she could feel it. He was trying to find out where she was. She closed him out of her

mind when he tried to connect a mindlink with her. She didn’t want to hear his voice inside her mind.
