She said nothing to his words. He was probably happy for her not to be in his suite, because that’s what he wanted anyway. He probably came in here to pick a fight with her on purpose. Just so he could tell his allies she was refusing to attend that mating ball, and then he could have Gloria at his side and his allies would think nothing of it. That room he’d made for her wasn’t likely for her at all, likely it was just for Gloria when he got rid of Nor
“Go f**k your Luna, Jace” She snarled at him. “Oh wait.” Her eyes finally turned to his, and she let her anger be seen. It wouldn’t be the first time they’d had words about Gloria “Let me clarify that for you, go and f**k that b***h Gloria, who is your pack’s Luna”
He snarled at her in anger over her words, and she felt his Alpha Aura flood the room and roll over her and she didn’t even try to fight it. She was technically his equal and could resist it or try to, but why should she bother anymore to even think she was his equal? There was no point in thoughts like that, because he didn’t respect her, didn’t see her as his equal.
Her head hit the floor with a sickening–sounding c***k as she just folded completely under the weight of what he was doing to her, his Mate. As she willingly relinquished to herself, that she was his equal inside her mind.
Allowed herself to only acknowledge herself as a mere lowly ranked warrior of a she–wolf that resided inside his pack. That he was only her Alpha to her, and she was not his Mate. Just like he’d called her just a few hours earlier in the day
Tears filled her eyes and rolled down her cheeks as pain speared through her forehead from the impact on the floor and his Aura flooded through her entire body, something reserved for those that were being dealt punishment by their Alpha.
She would bow down to him like any other pack member would, because that was all she was to him. She

had folded so very quickly under the weight of it because here Inside this pack she was practically wolf–less as well.
She felt his Aura stop, and she just stayed there as a sob escaped her in her pain. She was truly nothing to this man who was her Mate; he was supposed to love and cherish her, but he did not. She’d cried more tears inside this pack than she had in her entire life, and all because of him, her Mate.
He was just standing there staring down at her. She could feel it. The silence in the room stretched on until she finally lifted her head from the floor, as the pain from what he’d done started to fall away, and she could once again move. Nora finally looked up at him. “Get out.” She whispered as she looked at him through her tears, as they still spilled from her eyes and fell down her face. She did not and would not hide the pain of what he’d just done to her from him.
No, not anymore would he get to see that nothing affected her, for once she would let him see it all and hear it all, just how much he hurt her. To know that it was him that was the cause of her pain.
“I’m… I’m s
sorry.” He murmured, and she saw what looked like regret in his expression as he reached out a hand to touch her face.
“Don’t touch me,” she grated out at him, and her voice was cold and harsh, as she stared up at him, her uncaring cruel Mate. His hand stilled mere centimeters from her cheek. She had no idea how he could think she was going to let him touch her after all he’d done, all that she’d said to him before.
“Get out.” She hissed at him angrily
“Nora please, I… I didn’t mean to, I just lost control for a moment.” He stammered. “You yelled at me, and I just reacted as an Alpha would.” He seemed to think this was an appropriate explanation for his actions
towards her.
“I don’t care.“” She bit out, because she no longer cared. Moving out of the Alpha Suite was indeed the right thing to do, and she now knew it. “No Mate should ever do that to their Mate.” She murmured softly, her anger leaving her. There was no point in being angry with him anymore, she was done. Nora turned away from him. “Leave this room, or I will altogether,” she told him, and she meant it. She would leave and go home, return to her old pack and be seen as the stupid naïve girl that couldn’t hold on to her Alpha Mate. What was one more humiliation at his hands?
It was not what she wanted, to be seen like that. She wanted to be seen as strong and unyielding but didn’t know if she had it in her right this very minute to do that. Was she still strong enough to hold onto her plan and find a way to hurt him, extract revenge upon him for his cruelty?
She heard him leave, closing the door quietly behind him, and she touched her forehead gently. She could smell her own blood. It wasn’t a lot, but there was a skin tear in the middle of her forehead where it had hit the wooden floor.
Her head still hurt, a headache left over from the impact. She felt him walk away down the hall. He kind of went in a hurry, and she pushed herself up off the floor and walked over to the door, swayed a little on her feet. She felt dizzy and realized she was likely suffering from a concussion. She put a hand on the door and reached out to lock it, only to miss and had to blink a few times as her vision blurred. She slid her hand down the door and found the lock and turned it.
She stood there, leaning on the door, waiting for the dizziness to pass, and her vision to clear and then walked over to look at herself in the mirror, and had to brush the tears away to look at her wound. It was only.
small, and she realigned the skin, in the hope that it wouldn’t scar. And wondered if it would bruise?
The surrounding akin was already reddened. “You can do this.” She told herself, “Stay strong, you’ll find a way to hurt them both, before you leave, pay them back every ounce of pain.” She reaffirmed to her hollowed–out looking reflection. “Endure for now, a few months of pain is nothing. Once it’s over, you’ll be able to forget it in time. Many others out there suffer more than you do right now. Don’t be weak, you’re not going to fall apart now,” she told herself.
Nora made her way back to the couch and sat down on the floor and picked up her book once more, though now she had trouble focusing on it, her mind was elsewhere now. There had to be a way to hurt him other than just to reject him and leave him; she had to be able to bring him to his knees. Show him he wasn’t worth anything, didn’t deserve his Goddess–Gifted Mate.
The longer she sat there and thought about her life here inside this very pack. The way he had treated her, lied to her, touched another all the time, the more she wanted to hurt him, extract revenge on him for just
claiming her, when he should have just rejected her.
He should never have brought her here. He was so very cruel to only want her for the use of her body, he was
making a fool out of her every day.
Every single pack member inside this pack called another she wolf, Luna, even though she was the Alpha’s Mate, four months she’d been here now, and no Luna Ceremony to thank the Moon Goddess for gifting her to him. Nothing; that man had done nothing but bed her, sate his alpha–blooded s**** needs with her body.
Other than that, he’d only ranted at her for being unfit or trying to better herself and get an education, by studying hard for the passion she had, something that would enable her to be a contributing member of the pack. Destroyed her property and called her childish for wanting to be away from him, when all he did was
hurt her at every turn.
Now this, to roll his Aura over her like she was absolutely nothing at all. She’d not even done anything wrong, not broken a single pack law as far as she was aware, but he’d punished her without a second though and for what; for her not willing to be in his bed anymore.
She turned out the lights and went to bed, lay there and stared into the darkness of the room, where all she felt was sadness mixed in with loneliness. What good was a Mate Bond, or a Goddess–Gifted? So many out there rejected their Mates nowadays, and she was going to be no different from them in the end. She’d tried in the beginning, and she knew it, had loved him, wanted him to love her, but he just couldn’t. Was

It wasn’t a feeling she knew was going to go away overnight either, and she didn’t know how she was going to be happy once more, even after she left and got her freedom. Could she really be happy? Was there a way to forget him and the heartache he caused her and her wolf?
