Jace
He knew that the flowers weren’t going to make everything up to her, only by talking through it and sorting it
all out, him learning not to lose his temper and be calm with her, regardless of what she said or did, and he knew she was going to continue to try and push his buttons.
Because he’d grabbed her and bruised her yet again, shown to her that he didn’t care about hurting her.
That’s why she’d said he had to force himself to be around her. Because she believed that was what he was
doing. He needed to spend more time with her, be in close proximity to her to help their very broken bond
start to regrow.
Alpha/Luna bonds he knew were strong and an Alpha being rejected by his Luna after claiming her, could
well break the Alpha himself unless, of course, he didn’t love her. He didn’t want that to happen. Didn’t want
either of them to suffer a rejection. She was half wolf–less now, a rejection from him which she kept stating
he could do, could well kill her wolf altogether. Could in turn see her die from it as well.
She’d told him only twice she’d walk away from him, and both times were over him pulling her into their bed.
He wanted nothing more than to pull her into his bed. It wouldn’t fix their bond, but it would allow for it to
regrow and both of them would sleep better.
Though as he looked at her, she didn’t look all that tired to him, unlike himself, he knew he looked tired, had
seen it getting worse over the days even. He could only think it was because, as Matt had stated, her wolf
was done with him and his, so being apart from them didn’t affect her anymore.
That bothered him, but something else occurred to him at that very moment. She kept stating he could reject
her, she wasn’t going to be the one to issue it. She was trying to get him to do it; why? He wondered. Was it
so that the pack wouldn’t see her in a bad light? Was it so that he had to explain to the pack why he was
rejecting his Goddess–Gifted after four months of being together?
Something he had no idea how he was going to explain, because that long a time together they should be
fully bonded and never want to be apart. Though this pack already thought he was cheating on her, so likely
if he rejected her, it would be seen that he was choosing Gloria over his own Goddess–Gifted.
He sighed internally, that was likely what she wanted, the pack to see what she saw, him always choosing his
chosen lover over his Goddess–Gifted. If she rejected him, it would still mean the same thing, because the
pack would see it as she’d had enough of him always being with Gloria, but she, he realized, wanted him to
be the one to do it.
Because it would show the pack, she’d stayed here all this time, never giving up on their Goddess–given mate
bond, whereas he had given up on it. And now, after all she’d been through, it would also seem like it was because she couldn’t bare him pups anymore. He would look cold and callous to the entire pack. Something
she believed that he was. A cold callous asshole of a Mate.
Then there was also the possibility of her not wanting to do it herself, because she knew deep down a
rejection would in fact be the end of Rosa for good, and she didn’t want to be the one respo her own wolf.
for killing
He’d harmed her wolf to the point she no longer came forward inside this pack, and he didn’t even know if he and Nora coming back together would bring Rosa back. There was no guarantee it would. Their beasts had a

mind of their own, a will of their own, and she was already half gone She might stift abandon her human f Nora decided to come back to him, if it wasn’t what Rose wanted.
So him rejecting her would be seen as him killing her wolfen counterpart. She would be able to blame him for dishing out the final blow, that made her truly wolf–less. Everything she was doing now was aimed, be realized at her, getting him to reject her, so the pack would blame him for the loss of her, his actual true Luna
So that she herself could actually state with full certainty that it was all his fault that she’d lost Ross as wel She wasn’t likely going to leave him without him rejecting her. She would bide her time until he got fed up with her attitude and rejected her. Well, he wasn’t going to do that. He was going to fight for what the Goddess had given him.
The longer she was here, the more he would be able to grow their bond and, one day with time, they would be able to come back together. He just had to be patient and show her he wasn’t going to give up on her, not ever. They belonged together, the Goddess had matched them, and he was certain as to why now. Because she was strong and could deal with what he’d done, she was given to him to make him see the error of his ways, and become a better person,
Something he was willing to do for her; it was late, but they had very long lives, and he could and would make it up to her, show her he was loyal and faithful to her and their bond. He’d never actually meant to hurt her like she’d been hurt. He’d never once so much as even kissed Gloria since coming home.
“With time, do you think we could find our way back together?” he asked, and he knew she’d be able to see it
wasn’t just him asking. He could feel Hydro right there looking at her. Hydro didn’t want to lose her, he’d always loved her.
She took her time to think about it, several long minutes of silence, and she stared at him as she did so, and
he could feel a slight anxiousness starting to creep into himself, because he didn’t think she was at all
willing at this point, she’d been to hurt and today, what he’d done had just put all his efforts back to square
one, and he knew it.
Finally, she spoke after several minutes. “I want to believe that you can change, that I could trust you once more with my heart… no one wants to break their bond once it’s established,” she sighed “but I waited for you to love me, and I did try to keep you by my side, but… Gloria always won in the end, nothing I could do would bring you to me… Not even her attacking me, I know now, that I can’t compete with 60 years of love between you and her, Jace.”
“I don’t love her, Nora.” He shook his head.
“But you did, for 60 years, and that doesn’t just go away overnight.” She shook her head.
“Yes, it can.” He implored her. “When you find your fated mate, everything else goes away.” He told her.
She snorted, “Really, well, I know for a fact it didn’t for you, now did it,” she stated, and he couldn’t even argue about it. She’d just countered his words and been right. “You were with her just yesterday, alone in her suite, so…” she shrugged. “It’s not gone, you still want to spend time with her.”
He sighed heavily, because she had seen him coming out of Gloria’s suite. “That was not what you think. I
To tell her l was simply there to make it clear to her that she and I would not be spending anytime toget
uth of the am committed to you and our bond. That was all and nothing more,” he told her, and it was
matter.
“In the past few days I have learned just how deceitful Gloria really is, and was all this time. That this whole

time, she has been instigating things on the sly that helped to put distance between us, to break our bond. I see that now. I won’t let it happen again.”
“It wasn’t very hard for her to do, though was it, because you love her.” Nora stared right at him pointedly so” You believed her at every turn, took her side over your own Mate. Only cared about her feelings.” She stated flatly.
“I have removed her from the packhouse, revoked her status within the pack and canceled her pack card. She
has nothing right now, and will have to go and find a job to support herself. I punished her for stealing your
Luna’s Card.”
“I guess that’s a start.” She muttered. “Though it’s not really a harsh punishment now, is it?” she stated.”
Unlike all the belittling I got, and in public from you, for all to hear while she stood behind you with a smirk or
smile on her face, where you couldn’t see it, but I could, the pack could if they were watching on. Everyone
knows it’s her you want.”
“Nora, it is not Gloria that I want. It is you that I want, you that Hydro wants. We don’t want to lose you, we want to fix this, and yes, we understand it is all my fault. You’re right. I hurt you in many ways. I’m, however, trying to fix it. What is it you want me to do, to help fix things between us?” He could only ask her what she wanted because he really had no idea. He’d apologized many times and was still doing that.
Again, she was quiet for a long moment before speaking, “I don’t want to see you anywhere near her. How can I ever trust you around her? I guess that is the problem really, isn’t it!”
“I’ll prove to you that you can trust me once more,” he told her. “I will give you no reason to ever doubt me again,” he stated. “Please just don’t walk away from us, from our pack. You belong here with me; I want you here with me. I will make every effort to show you all this, that Hydro and I do not want to lose you.”
“We’ll see,” she stated, without much faith.
