She got a mind link from Jace an hour after her parents had arrived, Wors, may set with you in the Alpha’s Office please.

I’m just about to have afternoon tea with my parents; she told him.

‘I think we should probably do that together, he stated.

‘Hmm, I mentioned it. Father is unhappy about the scars on my hands. I’ve not shown him the ones to my feet. She stated, she knew he likely just wanted to know what they were all talking about up there in her suite on her own without him. He wanted to know if she was telling them everything that had happened. He’s of the opinion that he wants to just spend time with me right now, I can’t sway him, I’m sorry. He’s always beed protective of me and Nita.

‘I understand that I just… he trailed off, and the link was cut kind of abruptly. She shook it off and her parents looked at her. “Just wait someone else linked to him, I dare say” She waited, and it only took two minutes for him to reconnect with her.

‘My apologies, Alpha Clayton has just arrived at the gate. I thought he was coming until tomorrow. He sighed, ‘Will you please come downstairs to greet him with me?

‘Oh, so did I, and yes, I’ll come down now. Meet you out front. She told him simply as though nothing was

wrong.

Then she looked at her parents. “Alpha Clayton just arrived,” she told them.

Her mother nodded, “He told us not to tell you. Got his own plans, I believe.”

“Alright.” She nodded and headed downstairs to greet them as Jace wanted, for them to do that together.

Jace was standing in the foyer waiting for her. He looked right at her as she trotted down the stairs and

smiled at him. He didn’t really smile back but muttered. “He brought his entire unit and their Mates did you

know about that?” he asked.

“No, I only know what you told me,” she shook her head. “Did he R.S.V.P. for all of them?” she inquired as they

walked outside, “because you never said, and I haven’t allocated them rooms, just Alpha Clayton and Luna Nelly is all.” she sighed and she’d not. “Now I’ll have to think about where to put them and the rooms they’ll have aren’t prepared.”

“They’ll all have to be together. An Alpha Unit always has rooms or connecting suites, regardless of where they go, to an allied or un–allied pack. It is standard protocol.” Jace told her as they stood outside the front of the packhouse. “Where do you have Alpha Clayton and his Luna?” he asked, and she heard something in his

voice.

“With my parents, why?” she looked up at him with a slight frown, “Is that wrong, that I put them with me?” she asked him directly.

“Most visiting packs would be on the first floor,” he murmured. “But I guess…. you didn’t know that, not having

attended to any…” he trailed off.

“Not given, you mean.” She corrected him. “I was never offered Luna Lessons, Jace. I’m certain you‘

“Yes, and his grandparents, all happy Alpha/Luna couples.” She nodded, and they were. It was a very healthy and respectful place. She’d never actually heard of or seen anyone inside her home pack suffer from the pains of betrayal. The wolves there respected the mate bond, loved and cherished what their Goddess gave

to them.

She watched Alpha Clayton get out and hold his hand out for Luna Nelly. She smiled up at him as she got out and Nora chuckled. She was pregnant, and heavily so. That would be why they were all traveling together,

pup number five for them.

She watched Clayton walk her up the stairs as his unit all helped their own Mates out of their cars, and she burst out laughing. “Well, Alpha Clayton, I see you’ve all been busy in the past two months.” she heard Jace clear his throat as if to admonish her for speaking like that.

Alpha Clayton chuckled and nodded, ignoring Jace’s admonishment of her. He was not offended at all, their pack was quite relaxed, and anyone could talk to anyone, regardless of rank. “What can I say, Nora.” he

smiled at her, “I can’t ever keep my hands off my Mate.”

Nora felt Jace stiffen beside her, and she realized that Clayton was reminding him of the times she was in the hospital all by herself. Not something she’d even asked him to explain because she’d not wanted him there at all herself. But it seems Clayton was either making a point or had no idea Jace had left her

unattended and Jace just had guilt over it.

He probably felt like Clayton was putting him in his place about where a Mate should be when their other half was in the hospital and, of course, he’d not been there at all.

She saw Jace frown at her and the way she was interacting with her former Luna’s unit, she even knew why She’d told him she’d seat a new Luna’s unit, one that wasn’t attached to the former Luna in any way, and held not liked it. She’d also not had anything to do with any of his unit or their Mates in the past month either as if to prove that. Now here she was happy and smiling, getting along with a Luna’s unit.
