Watching Eliza bow her head in flustered silence, Nolan’s lips curved into a faint smile. “When the time comes, I’ll marry you right away.”
Hearing his words, Eliza’s cheeks flushed red.
Seeing her face grow warm, Nolan took off his jacket and draped it over her shoulders. “We’re almost home. Don’t catch a cold.”
Nolan always looked after her with such care that Eliza couldn’t help asking, “Nolan, are you really sure about this?”
“Hm?”
“Sure about… marrying me in the future. Sure about investigating something that has nothing to do with you, all for me.”
These past days, Nolan had been running around with her instead of managing his company. Tyson was still eyeing the Hayes family like a predator, and Eliza didn’t want to selfishly keep Nolan tied to her side.
“I’m sure. Being with you is what I want most in this life.”
The next morning, Eliza and Nolan went to the medical beauty company listed on the business
card.
The name on the card was Ventus.
From the outside, it looked more like a high–end private club. To give their clients the best possible experience, the place occupied five full floors, its décor sleek and modern. If not for being told, no one would guess it was a medical beauty clinic.
As soon as Eliza arrived at the entrance, the manager was already waiting for her. Knowing she would be coming today, he had arranged the best private room in advance.
But when he saw Nolan at her side, the manager asked cautiously, “We also offer men’s services. Would the gentleman like to try our stress–relief therapy in a private room?”
“No…”
Nolan had been about to refuse, but since Eliza had come to investigate what was different about this clinic, he changed his mind and said lightly, “Sure.”
The manager seemed unsurprised, immediately instructing a staff member to take Nolan upstairs to a private room on the second floor.

“Ms. Rivers, this way please.”

The manager led Eliza toward the first floor. Curious, she asked, “Why are the men taken to the second floor but women aren’t?”
“Because the men’s treatments differ somewhat from the women’s. That’s why ladies are on the first floor. If Ms. Rivers prefers a quieter space, I can arrange a VIP suite on the fifth floor, though it may not be as good as the first floor.”
Everyone knew Eliza was the daughter of the Sue family, so they had to provide the best service.
Eliza only nodded, putting on an air of criticism. “I just feel like I’m not that pretty, and it seems like ever since I turned eighteen, I’ve been aging. Shouldn’t I start maintaining myself sooner?”
The manager quickly humored her. “Ms. Rivers still looks very young. But a woman’s prime is short, and after eighteen, early aging is inevitable. Still, that’s nothing to worry about. With the right maintenance, even at forty you can look as fresh as your early twenties. If you’ve seen celebrities, you’ll know the benefits of regular beauty treatments. Many of today’s top stars are our regular clients.”
Eliza nodded. “If Mr. Nathaniel hadn’t strongly recommended your place, I probably wouldn’t have noticed it at all.”
“Ventus is quite popular in certain circles, but we only serve select clients. Outsiders don’t qualify to enjoy our services.”
“And your prices must be sky–high, right?”
By then, they had reached a treatment room.
The moment Eliza stepped in, a refreshing fragrance filled her nose note like grass after the rain, instantly soothing.
– sweet at first, with a base
“Our prices are adjusted above market rates. They may be higher, but the results are hundreds of times better. Ms. Rivers will know after just one visit – you’ll see results the very next day.”
With that, the manager handed her their service menu.
Eliza lowered her head and glanced at it.
It was filled with treatment names, procedures, and jaw–dropping prices.
Arching her brow, Eliza deliberately acted picky, then asked, “I care a lot about looking young. Do you have treatments that can make my skin dewy and radiant, smooth and delicate like a freshly peeled egg?”
