The man said. “Miss Everton, based on our assessment, you fully meet the criteria for recruitment into our Elite Military Academy.
“Would you consider joining us and becoming a pillar of strength for our country in the future?”
Narissa lowered her gaze, lost in brief contemplation.
She was the most covert agent in the Military Intelligence Office’s Intelligence Division, with all her information highly classified.
It was only natural that these people were unaware of her true identity.
Rather than constantly hiding and evading, it would be better to establish a legitimate identity for herself, ensuring that Bastien could never suspect her.
It seemed that hiding in plain sight would be her best camouflage.
Besides, as long as she agreed to join the Elite Military Academy, she could walk right back into the Military Intelligence Office’s Intelligence Division without having to hide anymore.

By then, she wouldn’t have to worry about her identity being exposed, and she could take on missions without raising any suspicion.
It was like killing several birds with one stone.
She would be more than happy to do so.
The man said, “Miss Everton, we know this is a big decision, and you might want to talk it over with your family.
“We’re happy to give you some time to think about it. You can…”
The man was still explaining, even about to hand Narissa his contact info so she could mull it over at home, when she suddenly cut in with her answer.
“Alright, I agree to join you,” she said.
“What?” The man was stunned.
Narissa asked, “When can I start?”
“I’ll write you a letter of acceptance right now. Tomorrow, someone will get in touch with you and personally escort you to the academy,” the man stammered.
“Alright, if there’s nothing else, I’ll be on my way,” Narissa said.
With that, she took her leave and went back to shopping.
Seeing that everything was settled, the man rushed to his car and called his superiors to share the good news.
“What? She really agreed?” one of them exclaimed.
“She agreed so quickly. That’s fantastic! As expected from a true child of Rothialand. Patriotism runs in her blood!” another added.

A third voice chimed in. “We really struck gold this time. This girl is something else. Her time at the military academy will just be a formality.
“Once we give her a few missions, she’ll be promoted in no time and become one of the finest officers in our district.”
The top brass were over the moon, practically wishing they could tie up Narissa and bring her back immediately.

But while they were busy plotting how to turn Narissa into a top soldier, they had no clue that Octopus over at the Military Intelligence Office had already gotten the hot news.
When he saw what happened, he burst out laughing, clutching his stomach.
Octopus said, “This is just hilarious. The boss got snatched up by the goivernment again. I have to let everyone know so we can all get a good laugh out of this.”
With his big mouth, it only took Octopus a few minutes to blab the news about Narissa getting recruited to every single member of their team.
After all, it was more fun to share it with others.
Of course, Narissa had no idea about any of this.
She picked up a few things and headed back home.
Since someone was coming to pick her up tomorrow, she needed to get a few things ready. First on her list was to let Octopus know not to get involved in her business unless absolutely necessary.
If the opportunity presented itself, she would naturally return to the secret base to reunite with her team.
She slept soundly that night, and the next morning, after getting the message, she headed out without telling anyone.
She met the person sent to pick her up by the roadside outside the villa.
“Hello, Miss Everton. Today we’re just doing a quick registration. You’ll officially report to the military district in two days,” the man explained.
Narissa frowned.
She’d expected them to be more efficient, but now it looked like she’d have to sit around for two days doing nothing.
