Narissa said, “Someone took advantage of us being out at dinner and set up cameras all over this floor’s hallway and in my room.

“I don’t know if they hit your rooms too, but whoever did this definitely isn’t here for anything good.”

Jaylen and the others were stunned by what they heard.

“Who would want to set us up like this? Is it really those guys from Lunaris Academy?” Gilbert stammered, his voice trembling with fear.

The rest of the group looked just as shaken.

They all trusted that Narissa would never mess around about something this serious.

This had to be dealt with right away.

“Wait, I just remembered something!” Gilbert suddenly blurted out, smacking his forehead.

Everyone turned to stare at him.

Gilbert continued, “It’s Robin Elliott! It has to be him. He got expelled from Regality Academy for sneaking cameras into the girls‘ bathrooms and locker rooms.

“Now he’s at Lunaris Academy, and the guy’s a total computer whiz.”

Another person said, “Man, I totally forgot about that guy until you mentioned him.

“These cameras have to be the work of someone from Lunaris Academy. Come on, let’s go confront them and settle this right now!”

The group was about to rush out for payback, but Jaylen quickly stepped in to stop them.

Jaylen said, “Wait, we can’t just take matters into our own hands. Let’s get the principal and the teachers involved instead.”

Jaylen just wanted to keep things calm before the competition.

But honestly, his way was way too gentle. There was no way that would really make those guys pay.

‘What if they just pull the same stunt again after we think it’s all settled?‘ Gilbert couldn’t help but worry.

“I don’t agree. Since this is a student issue, we should handle it ourselves,” Gilbert insisted, still dead set on going after Robin.

Just then, Narissa raised her hand and spoke up, “You guys should all head back to your rooms for now.”

“What about the cameras?” someone blurted out.

‘Seriously, they even put cameras in the bathroom. Who the hell would dare take a shower or use the toilet now?‘ Gilbert thought.

Narissa made a quick gesture and went with Jaylen and the crew to check out each room one by one:

As she expected, there were cameras in the others‘ rooms too, but unlike hers, each of those only had a single camera set up right by the

entrance.

“So, what did you find?” Jaylen asked, his voice tense with anticipation.

“Nothing!” Narissa replied, deciding to lie to keep them from worrying.

After all, that camera could only catch what was happening right at the door–the rest of the room was a total blind spot.

It would not compromise their privacy.

“Nothing? So they’re really targeting you? That’s just too much. I’m going to go confront them right now!” Even Jaylen, who was always calm, was actually angry this time.

Narissa reached out to stop him. “No need. Let’s just wait and see what they’re up to for now.”

The others immediately chimed in, all saying they’d be down to switch too.

But Narissa just shook her head. “If they’re really targeting me, switching rooms now would only tip them off.”

Gilbert said while clenching his fists, clearly itching to deal with the problem head–on, “They’re just people from Lunaris Academy.

“When it comes to status, we’ve got nothing to be afraid of. If you ask me, we should just storm over there and settle the score right now!”

But Narissa turned down his offer.

Narissa said, “Just listen to me, okay? Don’t let them know we’re onto them.

“If they try to pull something else before the competition, it’ll only make things worse.”

She always hated trouble,

“Narissa’s right. This competition means a lot to Regality Academy. Let’s not stir up any more trouble. Just stay extra alert,” Jaylen said, firmly taking Narissa’s side.

So for now, they all chose to keep the whole camera situation strictly to themselves.

After Narissa got back to her room, she just switched off the lights and crashed for the night.

“Whatever it is, I’ll deal with it tomorrow, she thought.

The competition was scheduled for early the day after tomorrow, so both training centers let their students do their own thing today.

Narissa literally did nothing. She just holed up in her room the whole day.

Jaylen and the crew were worried about Narissa, so they all decided to stick around in their rooms, too.

They would not allow anyone to mess with their floor while they weren’t looking.

The whole day went by without a hitch–nothing happened, and not a single shady character showed up.

Later, the group dropped by Narissa’s room to fill her in on what they’d noticed.

“Glad nothing happened. You guys should all go get some rest. Tomorrow’s the competition,” Narissa said, her tone calm as ever. “Seriously, this has to be Robin’s doing. He probably set up those cameras just to peep on the girls,” Gilbert said.

Everyone else nodded in agreement, clearly on board with Gilbert’s theory.

But Jaylen had a feeling things weren’t that simple. He was pretty sure Narissa had noticed something too–she just didn’t want to let them in on it.

“Let’s head back and get some rest. No need to bother Narissa anymore,” Jaylen said, choosing not to press her for answers.

He just gathered up the guys and left, and Narissa closed the door as they walked out.

Once everyone had left, Narissa slipped into the bathroom without a sound and locked the door behind her.

Standing in front of the mirror, she began to transform her look, getting ready for a full–on disguise.

Narissa never believed the hidden cameras were the work of anyone from Lunaris Academy.

After all, there was just no way a student could install that many cameras in such a short time and not leave a single trace behind.

After spending the whole day acting like she didn’t care, whoever was behind this was probably at their most relaxed right now. ‘Now’s the perfect time to catch the rat, Narissa thought.
