Narissa changed into a black leather jacket and pants, slipping her dagger into the holster on her thigh.

As she stepped out of the bathroom, she casually stuck a wire into the wall socket.

Sparks flew, and the power in her room was instantly cut off.

The room was swallowed by darkness.

It wasn’t just Narissa’s room. The entire hotel went dark for a few seconds.

When the lights flickered back on, Narissa was already gone. All that was left was a blanket pulled over a pillow, making it look like she was still there, fast asleep.

Narissa moved like a ghost in the night, using the darkness to her advantage as she climbed down the wall and slipped out unnoticed.

She hadn’t just been napping during the day–hidden under her blanket, she was busy with something special.

Using spare parts from her communicator, she’d quickly cobbled together a signal sniffer to backtrace the surveillance feed receiver.

Now, after sweeping through satellite maps, she had finally locked onto the real hideout of whoever was spying on them.

To get to the bottom of their true intentions, Narissa decided to sneak in and confront the person face–to–face.

Knocking on the door, Narissa called out in a practiced tone, “Food delivery!”

She’d knocked out a delivery guy, left a wad of cash for him, and swiped his uniform and food order.

Dressed in disguise, she stood at the door of the apartment she suspected was behind the surveillance.

Inside, it was quiet as a grave.

Narissa pressed her ear to the door, listening hard. She couldn’t sense a living soul inside.

‘Did someone already take them out?‘ she thought.

Narissa’s eyes turned cold as she delivered a swift kick, blasting the door

The living room was completely deserted–not a soul in sight.

She quickly checked the other rooms. When she opened the master bedroom, she was stunned to see that every inch of all four walls was packed with live surveillance monitors.

Each screen displayed every detail of the hotel’s corridors and rooms.

‘So they really were spying on every student and teacher from Regality Academy, Narissa thought, a chill running down her spine. She searched every room, but there wasn’t a single soul to be found.

Narissa’s gaze swept over to the food that was still steaming on the computer desk. The lingering heat suggested whoever was there had only just left.

Without hesitation, Narissa spun around, ready to hunt down whoever had been spying on them. But out of nowhere, she caught sight of a masked figure dressed in black lurking right behind her.

The fact that this person had managed to sneak up on her so silently made Narissa’s heart jolt. She didn’t hesitate for a second before launching an attack.

Narissa punched straight at the masked figure’s nose.

The figure reacted instantly, sidestepping her attack and reaching for her shoulder, aiming to pin her down.

But Narissa’s punch was just a feint. As the figure fell for it and tried to grab her shoulder, she suddenly spun into a roundhouse kick, forcing the figure back nearly a dozen steps.

Even though the kick didn’t connect fully, the heel of her boot still scraped the figure’s arm, leaving a thin scratch.

The figure glanced at the scratch, then suddenly burst forward, stomping hard on the glass coffee table and using the momentum to vault himself into the air.

Before Narissa could react, he came crashing down.

His elbow drove straight toward Narissa’s throat.

Narissa’s pupils contracted sharply.

She thought, ‘He’s really trying to kill me.

Then I’ll show no mercy either.‘

Narissa didn’t flinch–she charged right in, her palm snapping up to catch the attacker’s elbow head–on.

Just as she was about to crush his bones with sheer force, her right hand flashed to her thigh and drew her dagger, barely intercepting The masked man’s military knife in a split–second clash.
