It was clear that Reese had gone after Cressida so viciously on purpose. He’d known all along that Cressida was Narissa’s sister, and he used that brutal display just to get under Narissa’s skin.

He wanted to see just how Narissa would react once she finally snapped.

“I’ll go!” Gilbert said.

He couldn’t just stand by and watch Narissa get hurt.

“We’ll go too!” A few other upperclassmen stepped up, showing they had his back.

The medical staff were treating Cressida’s leg injury. As Cressida saw so many people taking Narissa’s side, she felt even worse.

Just then, Gilbert stepped up. He thought he could at least hold his own for a bit, but the opponent sent him flying out of the ring in under ten moves.

He got hurt too, but it wasn’t as bad as Cressida’s–just a hairline fracture in his hand.

Things only got worse from there,

Every single person who went up got injured. They couldn’t even lay a finger on the opponent, let alone hurt him.

In just a few minutes, Jaylen’s whole crew got totally wiped out.

Jaylen immediately rushed over to see how his friends were doing.

Gilbert, looking super embarrassed, said, “Jaylen, Narissa, I’m really sorry. That guy’s just way too strong–we didn’t even stand a chance.”

“It’s not your fault,” Jaylen said, trying to comfort him.

Narissa glanced at Gilbert and the others, battered and bruised, then locked eyes with Reese, who stood on stage with a cold, mocking smile.

He silently mouthed, “Trash!”

At that distance, only Narissa could make out what he said.

Regality Academy was trailing way behind Lunaris Academy.

If they didn’t have anyone who could actually stand up to Reese, he’d just keep dominating the arena, and Regality Academy would be doomed to lose.
