Athena was waiting to hear back from Harriet, hoping for news about Zaden. Instead, she found out Beverly was holding a press conference.

Kit called her right away. “Didn’t you go to Zaden for help? Now his mom is holding a press conference and spilling the details about you and him!”

Athena was stunned. “What did you just say?”

She quickly grabbed her phone. The press conference had already started. Beverly sat on a bench, her expression cold and unreadable.

She wore a sleek black designer suit with her hair tied up neatly–just as intimidating and elegant as the last time Athena saw her.

With the Storms‘ influence, any public announcement from them was major news. Recently, gossip about Athena had been spreading everywhere, with people saying she was Zaden’s wife.

So, when reporters heard Beverly was speaking publicly, they filled the venue, eager for

answers.

The press conference began right away.

“I’ve gathered everyone here to make an official statement on behalf of the Storms,” Beverly said. “Lately, there have been rumors saying Athena Hall is Zaden’s wife.

“I want to set the record straight–she is not my son’s wife. She was only hired to attend an event with him. Anything she’s done has nothing to do with Storm Group or Zaden himself!”

The reporters gasped, firing questions one after another.

“Mrs. Storm, so Athena isn’t Mr. Storm’s wife?”

“That’s right.” Beverly nodded.

The reporters got even more excited, throwing more questions her way, and she answered them all smoothly.

Suddenly, the banquet hall doors burst open.

A rush of cold air swept through the hall, and everyone turned. Zaden walked in, looking sharp in a fitted suit.
