“Mr. Storm, are you saying we should go ahead with our original plan–announce that Ms. Hall is your wife–to neutralize the backlash from the Albas incident?”
If they went public with it, Athena would officially become Mrs. Storm.
A man like Albas couldn’t possibly compare to Zaden. Once the news spread, the accusations that Athena seduced Albas wouldn’t look so one–sided anymore.
Zaden slipped one hand into his pocket and nodded. “Yeah. Go ahead and make the arrangements.”
“Uh…” Tommy hesitated for a moment before asking carefully, “Did you talk this through with Ms. Hall last night? Did she agree to it?”
Zaden frowned slightly. He had asked Athena last night, but she hadn’t given him an answer.
Still, from the way she’d panicked when he faked his disappearance, he could tell she still cared about him. That had to mean she was willing to keep things going between them.
After a short pause, Zaden said, “She should be fine with it. Let’s just do it.”
Tommy’s mouth twitched.
Should be fine?
So Mr. Storm hadn’t actually gotten Ms. Hall’s permission and was just deciding on his own?
But it wasn’t his place to argue. He pulled out his phone and stepped aside to make arrangements, while Zaden stayed where he was, waiting.
When his gaze drifted toward Athena, who was standing in line nearby, his expression softened.
He figured having Athena as his wife wasn’t such a bad thing. Teri adored her, too. And even if Athena hadn’t agreed yet, he was confident she wouldn’t object.
Just then, Tommy hurried back, looking tense.
“Mr. Storm, we’ve got a problem,” he said in a low voice.
Zaden turned to him, frowning. “What happened?”
He wondered if Beverly had caused another scene–but that couldn’t be it. He’d already arranged to have her kept under close watch at the hospital.

Tommy looked puzzled. “All the trending topics about Albas’s scandals and Lewis’s statement … they’ve all been taken down!”
Zaden’s frown deepened.
Someone who could wipe out all trending topics overnight wasn’t just anyone.
Could Athena really have that kind of power behind her?
Who on earth was helping her?
“Do you know who did it?” Zaden asked, his voice steady but low.
“Not yet,” Tommy admitted. “But it must be someone important.”
Zaden’s expression darkened.
Not even traceable?
Then he suddenly remembered the phone call Athena took last night. She’d brushed it off as a prank call, but her face hadn’t looked anything like someone annoyed by a random stranger.
The more he thought about it, the worse his mood got.
Tommy, sensing his boss’s thoughts, asked quietly, “Mr. Storm, what should we do now? Do we still release the statement?”
“No.”
Since someone had already handled the crisis, stepping in now would only draw more attention–and could put Athena in a dangerous position. The best move was to do nothing.
Soon enough, the internet would move on to the next big thing, and this whole drama would fade.
Still, Zaden couldn’t shake off the unease.
Whoever was backing Athena clearly had influence, and that made him uncomfortable.
Tommy, who had worked under him long enough to read his moods, spoke softly. “Mr. Storm, you want me to look into who’s helping Ms. Hall? I’ll make sure to give you an answer soon.”
do
Zaden nodded. “Do it.”
A few minutes later, Athena came back. She saw Zaden and Tommy standing together, both looking serious, and her stomach tightened.
