Tommy sighed helplessly, but for the sake of his bonus, he’d play along and do his job right.

Athena and Zaden walked into the church together.

The place was grand and solemn, with tall ceilings and a massive statue standing in the main hall. Athena noticed many people sitting and praying with sincere devotion.

She turned to Zaden and said softly, “No wonder every hotel in town is fully booked. So many people must’ve come just to visit this church.

“I want to say a prayer too.”

But she didn’t dare invite Zaden along–she wasn’t sure if he believed in that kind of thing.

After speaking, Athena followed the others toward the altar, while Zaden stayed outside under a tree near the entrance.

Just then, his phone buzzed. It was Harriet calling.

Zaden’s eyes darkened. He had a feeling he knew what this was about and answered the call.

“Wow, Zaden! You’re amazing!” Harriet’s excited voice came through instantly. “I just saw online -Athena’s scandals are all gone! You must’ve been the one who had them taken down, right?”

Zaden frowned.

It hadn’t been him. Someone else—someone powerful and mysterious behind Athena–had done it. He’d already sent Tommy to investigate, but there was still no trace of who it was.

Harriet kept talking for a while, then finally noticed he hadn’t said a word.

“Hey, why so quiet? Does Athena know you did it? Want me to drop her a little hint?”

Zaden sighed. “It wasn’t me.”

“What?” Harriet sounded shocked. “If it wasn’t you, then who was it? Don’t tell me there’s someone else helping her?”

Zaden pressed his lips together. “No idea. We’re still looking into it.”

The more Harriet thought about it, the more uneasy she got. “This is bad! So Athena really has another guy helping her behind our backs? Zaden, what are you going to do now?”

“We’ll see once we find out who it is,” he replied calmly.

“Oh, come on! If you keep waiting, it might be too late!” Harriet said quickly. “You had Tommy and me help fake your disappearance just to see if Athena still cared about you, right?”

Zaden didn’t deny it.

“So you do like her!” Harriet said, sounding thrilled. “Then you can’t just sit back and watch. You should go after her first–make your move before anyone else does! Don’t you agree?”

Zaden thought about it seriously. Surprisingly, what she said made sense.

Seeing that he wasn’t brushing her off, Harriet grew even more confident. “You know, I’m actually kind of close with Athena. If you really want to win her over, I can help. I’m basically your spy around her.”

Zaden gave her a skeptical look. “And what exactly can you do to help?”

“Oh, come on, don’t underestimate me,” Harriet said proudly. “With my help, you’ll definitely

succeed!”

Zaden couldn’t help but chuckle. She was full of confidence. That was for sure.

Harriet, however, didn’t appreciate his reaction. “What’s that supposed to mean? You don’t trust me? I’m Athena’s bestie–the person who knows her best! If anyone can help you figure her out, it’s me.”

Zaden nodded. “Alright then. What’s your plan?”

Harriet paused for a moment, then said seriously, “I’ll start by finding her weak spots them down one by one. You just focus on building up your image around her.
