Zaden’s expression didn’t change. His voice stayed steady and cold as he said, “From what I know, Athena has already filed for divorce. Very soon, you’ll be her ex–husband.”

Everyone turned around, startled by the sudden sound and flashing lights.

The slideshow on the screen showed photos–every single one of them featuring the same

woman.

Nina.

There she was, smiling in picture after picture. Her belly grew bigger with each one, from early pregnancy to the day she gave birth.

They looked like a couple in love. A husband and wife who are glowing with happiness.

The guests were confused by these photos. Whispers rippled across the room.

Yeah, is that woman Lewis’s wife?”

“No, I’ve met Mrs. Belmont before. She doesn’t look like that.”

“Then what’s going on here? Does Lewis have another woman? And a child with her, too?”

Alaric’s face twisted in shock. He pointed toward Lewis and shouted loud enough for half the ballroom to hear. “Lewis! What the heck is this? You’ve got another woman on the side?”

He shook his head, his voice rising with disbelief. “And an illegitimate kid, too? You’d better hope that child doesn’t come back one day to fight Dion for the inheritance! You know how much your grandpa hates family drama, and you pull this stunt at his birthday party? You’ve just embarrassed us all!”

Bridget stood frozen, completely stunned.

Her whole body trembled with rage.

Then, all at once, she snapped back to her senses and shouted, “Who turned this on? Turn it off right now!”

Furious, she stormed toward the control panel and found that the one operating it was Dion.

“It’s you?!” Bridget’s voice shook with disbelief. “Dion, why would you do this? Do you even know what you’ve done?” She grabbed him by the arm and glared at him furiously.

Dion burst into tears on the spot.

He didn’t mean to cause trouble–he just wanted his mom back.

Nina had told him that if he did this, his mom would get jealous and come home again.

Lewis, who had been talking with Zaden, froze when the commotion broke out.

When he turned to the screen and saw what was being shown, his face darkened with shock and

rage.

He had always promised Nina that he would announce her identity publicly one day.
