“Lewis! What are you still thinking about?” Bridget frowned with displeasure. “Don’t act rashly. I can set everything aside, so what’s holding you back? Your grandfather needs an answer quickly!”

Lewis took a deep breath and said hoarsely, “Give me a few days. Let me think about it.”

Even though Bridget was frustrated with his indecision, she didn’t dare to push Lewis too hard. What if I pushed too much and he grew stubborn? The whole deal could fall apart.

She said sternly, “Fine! I can only give you three days. Within three days, you must give me an

answer.”

Bridget added, “Lewis, your father died young. For years, we’ve fought against the Alaric family. It’s been a constant battle, both publicly and privately, just to get to this point. It wasn’t easy. Are you really willing to just give up?”

Bridget left the villa.

Now only Lewis and Nina remained. Only then did Nina dare to step forward and say, “Lewis, I did lie to you. But that was only because I love you. I was so afraid of losing you that I pretended to be Athena.”

Lewis had already known the answer. But hearing Nina admit it now still made his heart clench painfully.
