Charles had just finished his shower, and his features looked even sharper. Drops of water slid down from his hai, tracing along his neck and chest, disappearing into the folds of his bathrobe.

Alicia had never imagined a man could be this irresistible. She was stunned, overwhelmed by a sudden urge she’d never had beforea desire to jump him.

Charles, feeling her gaze, looked up and their eyes met.

Alicia immediately felt her face turn red with embarrassment. She quickly turned her eyes away, trying to focus on the rooftop terrace outside.

The curtains on the glass doors to the rooftop terrace were left open, giving her a clear view of the outside.

Outside, snowflakes were drifting down, floating and swirling under the glow of the streetlights. Inside, the room was bright and cozy, with a sexy man lounging on the couch.

Alicia felt like she’d stepped right into one of those cartoons she used to watch as a kid. The whole scene was just too beautiful for words. It’s snowing,” Alicia whispered.

Charles glanced outside as well, and just as she’d said, snowflakes were swirling down. Snow’s come early this year. Charles said.

Alicia nodded. Yeah, winter’s only just begun.”

Charles found himself reminiscing about those years in that shabby old building. Every winter, whenever the snow started falling, they’d head outside together to build snowmen and wage snowball wars.

He leaned forward, flicking her forehead playfully. Get some sleep. It looks like it’ll snow all night. We can make snowmen tomorrow.

Alicia beamed, clearly excited at the idea. Goodnight.”

She put her dirty clothes in the hamper, planning to wash them later. She also closed the glass doors leading to the terrace to keep the flowers from freezing. Finally, she went back to her bedroom to sleep.

Despite feeling exhausted, Alicia tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Even though she was alone in her room, knowing that a handsome man was just outside made her feel strangely restless.

She couldn’t tell if it was excitement or nervousness that kept her up. After what felt like forever, she finally drifted off to sleep.

When she woke up, it was already 10 AM. She glanced at the time on her phone, feeling a bit annoyed with

herself.

How did I sleep in so late? Mr. Yates probably thinks I’m always this lazy. He’s definitely gonna think less of me now, Alicia worried.

She quickly got out of bed, wanting to check if Charles had already left. She hurried out, still with messy hair from sleep. Not seeing him in the living room, she assumed he had already left.

Feeling a little disappointed, she was about to head back to her room to freshen up when she saw Charles sitting on the rooftop terrace, holding a cup of coffee. There was a small pot on the glass table in front of him.

Delicate coffee steam curled around his face, giving his features a misty, dreamlike look. He gently blew on his coffee, eyes halflidded as he watched the snow drift down from above.

He was still in the same dark gray pajamas from last night, wrapped in the blanket that had been on the couch. His hair was a bit messy, as though he’d run his hands through it without caring.

Gone was his usual seriousness, replaced by a carefree vibe and relaxed posture.

How can one man flip his entire vibe this many times?Alicia thought, completely mesmerized.

Charles looked back at her and waved. Come here.”

Alicia wandered over with a cheeky grin, pointing at his blanket. Mr. Yates, is this the new trend?

Charles raised an eyebrow. All my clothes are in the closet,he said.

Alicia suddenly realized. Oh, right, all his stuff is in my closet. I slept in way too late, so of course he couldn’t just barge into my room. Wait! Does he have work today?

Panic hit her, and she blurted out, Sorry I slept in. Did I mess up your work or something?

Charles saw the guilty look on her face and couldn’t help but chuckle. Actually, I should thank you. Thanks to you, I get to take the day off.

Alicia looked up at him, guilt twisting in her chest. So I really did hold him up,she thought.

Alicia mumbled, You should’ve knocked and woken me up. Is it still possible to go to work now?

Too late for that,Charles chuckled. Which means you owe me some payback today.

How do I make it up to you?Alicia asked, a little nervously.

Make me lunch,Charles said.

Okay,Alicia broke into a smile, glad it was something so simple. Anything you feel like eating?

You pick,” Charles replied. Works out, since I’ll be here finishing that painting anyway.”

Alright,” Alicia nodded.

Alright, go freshen up,Charles told her.

Alicia quickly touched her hair, aware Charles could tell she hadn’t washed. She worried she’d had bad breath when she spoke.
